Hi! I’m trying to run an opacity test using white in from 50% to 5%. The ink stays wet from 30% and below. I can wipe it off with a rag.
Is there something that I need to do to cure the ink?
I’m running a Roland versa object with v-bond ink.
Hi everyone! We recently got a flatbed UV printer and I am still figuring out my pricing.
Do you charge more for designs that use a white underbase?
Thanks!
So far the v-bond sticks well. I haven’t compared it to the euv5 ink. I was told it adheres better by our rep and the Roland guys. We work a lot with museums too. We noticed it had less of a smell.
We’ve had good luck with sherwin Williams promar 200 on all the commercial walls we’ve done. Usually lighter colors. Guardz has also been really good for adhesion.
I have one. We went with the V-Bond ink. Cmyk with dual gloss and white. Had it for about a year now. Quality is really good but it is slow. We love it but if we had different circumstances we may have gone with a different printer. Depends on your needs.
Is pvc bad for exterior signs? This compile
Whats wrong with pvc for exterior signs? The brand I’m actually using is 1” thick komacel. It says it’s for exterior signage..
I’m installing a 36” Sentra blade sign on an exterior store front. Is it better to direct uv print or latex print on cast vinyl with laminate and then mount that to the sign?
Wow that sucks. Have you received your anti static bar yet? We had an issue with clogged nozzles and had the head replaced. I think it was my fault though. Are things any better?
The benefit is instant lamination. I’ve printed and installed color dense murals the same day. Also, I’ve never had issues with heat and optimizer except for the hot week our hvac went down. I have a feeling that people who have problems with this printer don’t have adequate climate control in...
We always spec out the paint ahead of time and do a sight visit. I’ve tested so many lines of paint and have determined what works the best with 40c. Haven’t had anything problems if the wall is prepared right.
I’m not a fan. I only have roll to roll latex machines. Maybe if I had the Canon Colorado. We already do Phototex for short term low traffic walls. I like to laminate for longe term wraps. I’m really trying to find a cheaper equivalent to 3m 40c and 35c.
