  1. Roland TrueVIS VG-640

Got one recently (VG3-640) - no complaints so far. I configured mine for CMYKx2 which produces fast, high quality results. Ink consumption is decent, and the operation is overall fairly easy. I'd recommend it easily over UV and Latex options for someone who is new to printing wide format.
  2. Review of the Roland LG-640

Not sure what is causing this - techs say it may be air in the line but not certain yet. In the meantime, I'm able to print on the CMYK head only by using the CMYK Media Presets in Versaworks - I guess a perk of having 2 heads.
  3. Review of the Roland LG-640

This actually became worse today after doing some powerful cleanings and ink refills. Not sure if air got in the line somehow but now I have to figure out how to remove it if that's the problem.
  4. Review of the Roland LG-640

While we’re on the topic of the Roland LG - I encountered an issue today where the orange seems to be the only color printing with a smudge. Dot dropout is fine, but the orange is a bit blurry while all the other colors are fine. Any ideas on what might be causing this and a fix? Images...
  5. Review of the Roland LG-640

Any recommendations on the charcoal filter?
  6. Review of the Roland LG-640

Thanks for the review. I got the LG about a month ago. On a positive note, the machine is fast, the colours are fantastic. However, the ink wastage from cleanings, and absurd amount of time it has to perform maintenance are huge turn offs. You also mentioned the smell, and it’s quite...
  7. How to exit service mode on ROLAND Truevis LG-640

Update from the tech is that the machine always has SERVICE MODE available. The auto-maintenance / cleaning on the LG640 is quite regular also - every time you power on there is a cleaning and you should shake white ink daily. Power on and off clears service mode.
  8. How to exit service mode on ROLAND Truevis LG-640

I've tried unplugging and restarting. That hasn't worked - I'm currently awaiting information from my tech and update.
  9. How to exit service mode on ROLAND Truevis LG-640

Actually causes some problems, including unwanted cleanings and maintenance, and a permanently spinning fan at the back. I really want to take it off. None of the sensors work either.
  10. How to exit service mode on ROLAND Truevis LG-640

Recently Roland LG Truevis installed by my tech, but it is stuck in service mode. Can anyone assist with exiting service mode? Power on and off with switch doesn't work.
  11. Roland Service Mode

I have a ROLAND TRUVIS LG640 stuck in service mode. Any idea how I can exit service mode?
  12. CNC Router Vs. Flatbed Cutter

Hello Folks, I've recently been looking into purchasing a flatbed cutter for my sign / print shop. I'm looking for something that can manage at least 4'x8' sheets of material (aluminum composite, posters, banners, etc.), but the prices machines like the SUMMA and ZUND are way out of budget. I'm...
  13. HP 365 Latex Printer Power Backup and Surge Protection

I spoke with my tech. They said they can do the building protector with backup power but it's going to cost $5,000+ and will hold the HP365 for 10-20mins.
  14. Discussion HP365 Latex Printer: Your Custom Media Profiles

Roll up banner media profile setting is something I've struggled with. The problem is the warping and curling of the edges after printing. This is due to the high heat - I'm trying to find the best temperature and number of passes I can work with on this without the process being too slow. Any...
  15. HP 365 Latex Printer Power Backup and Surge Protection

I spoke with my supplier today and he said that it's more likely that the low voltages will do the damage than higher voltages. Regarding the surge protector - I've managed to get lucky and purchased 3 units, but they seem to have went out of production. I'm looking for a device that will do a...
