  1. Suggestions Backlit

Definitely layered and personally I like going second surface on clear with a reverse print on white behind it. No need for lamination AND it will last a lot longer.

  5. Identify Font Please

Problem is the customer keeps asking me to do something else "in the Ayerco font"... so far I've just been faking it but I would really like to know what it is... and yes, it could be an altered font... just want to know for sure, I'm very picky about my fonts.
  6. Identify Font Please

Every time I see one of these I say to myself... "they really didn't look too hard" I've been at this too many years to give up very easy but I've looked everywhere I can think of and nuthin. Font sites weren't any help at all. The slant on the top of the left stroke on the "y" and "r" just...
  7. CJV30 print help

Copy your original image, then convert it to a bitmap in Corel. Have found that Corel effects and Rasterlink don't play well together. We've gone to PS for most printed artwork unless it has to be cut on the plotter. Rasterlink likes PS, Corel not so much.
  8. what could be causing my black head to be like this?

Usually meant it was time to change out or work on the capping station on ours. Not getting a good seal around the head, can dry out pretty quick. Had our JV3 for 8 years, nozzles dropping out were usually air leak somewhere.
  9. Pantone Colors and Matthews Paint Matching

  12. What kind of paint?

We use Gripflex or Spraylat, your supplier should be able to get this for you. Spraying illuminated faces can be fun, yes you can use a regular automotive gun, the paint is very thin and requires several (12-15 not unusual) light coats in order to get a nice even "translucency". You'll want a...
  13. What kind of paint?

:helpReally not enough information here, is it illuminated? What's it made out of? Acylic, poly, what? It sounds to me like you're talking about a embossed pan face. Some photos would be nice.

  15. Honest (yet stupid) Corel Upgrade question?

Don't misunderestimate yourself Jill, the externals are just "plug and play" and show up as a separate drive on your computer. YOU CAN DO IT! Just sayin':thumb:
