  1. Where to find cheapest DX4 ??

Does anyone know where to find the cheapest price on DX4 Printheads for the Roland SP-300? I remember reading on this forum a year or so ago about someone buying a relatively cheap printer that uses these and taking them out and using for their SP-300/540. Looking to get my printer back...
  2. Installing a DX4 printhead in SP-300

It's not our primary business (we screen print, use the sp-300 as alternative income). That said, we still have a need for it to be working asap. Thanks. Any technical help in getting this issue fixed would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Installing a DX4 printhead in SP-300

Thanks for the insight, but not an option. I just have to adjust the printhead (or so it seems). It's alot easier to do that than to spend $10G's or more on a new printer. Must be nice.
  4. Installing a DX4 printhead in SP-300

Can you tell me what you mean by having the valves open/closed? All I did was take the old printhead out, hooked up the new one and changed the dampers and put everything back like it was.
  5. Installing a DX4 printhead in SP-300

Can anyone tell me the best way to make sure a newly installed printhead in an sp-300 is aligned correctly? I've just installed one and I'm having touble getting the ink to flow right. I attached a syringe to the cap hose and gently pulled ink through, but there is so much pressure the syringe...
  6. Holy Crap! Please Help!!

The company that I was refering to is MacMedia http://www.macmedia.com I plan on calling them in the morning to find out more. The turnaround looks pretty fast as well. they sell just the fuse for the mainboard also, but I would much rather pay them to do it right than me blow something else up...
  7. Holy Crap! Please Help!!

Update: I just installed the new dampers and cap top....still not working:frustrated: I'm worried it may be the mainboard. Any suggestions? I found a company called MacMedia that says I can ship the main board to them and they may be able to repair (ie: probably just install new fuses)...
  8. Holy Crap! Please Help!!

I would have subbed it out if this had happened earlier. There is one other place in town that does banners, and they couldn't fit me into their schedule today. I've decided to print it as a black and white banner (since my black and cyan works) instead of color - I'll give them a discount -...
  9. Holy Crap! Please Help!!

The zap (or more like a POP with sparks) came from the yellow ribbon cable as it touched the metal chasis. I shut it down and unplugged the printer before I unplugged the ribbon cables so I could have better access to the dampers. I unpugged them from the printhead side only and tucked the...

  11. Holy Crap! Please Help!!

I've got an SP-300 by the way. Thanks.
  12. Holy Crap! Please Help!!

I've got a must have banner order due tomorrow and my magenta and yellow seems to have crapped out on me!! I was having this issue a few weeks ago, fixed it by syphoning the ink through and problem solved....I thought. Fearing it may be the dampers, I ordered a set Friday, UPS screwed up the...
  13. Will ColorRip open RML file?

    Thanks Bob!
  14. Will ColorRip open RML file?

Thanks for the response! Does anyone else have any ideas? In the meantime I'll try to get ahold of Wasatch.
  15. Will ColorRip open RML file?

Went to Stahls website and tried to download their media profiles for the sp-300 but they are rml files (which I believe are for Versaworks). Is there any way to open them with ColorRip? Thanks
