  1. Has anyone having MDO bubble?

Do you use 6MM ACM for 4x8 signs? I find the 3MM isn't rigid enough at that size. 6MM and MDO are pretty much the same price point for me.
  2. Has anyone having MDO bubble?

We use a lot of MDO and have seen it a little more recently.
  3. Anybody got the HP fb700 Takeup Wheel/Reel to work?

We use ours but mostly for some narrower web (12”) specialty materials that have to be UV printed. Works pretty well with that because the material is narrow and pretty rigid so we don’t see a ton of tracking issues. There is a guide on how to operate it in the manual which you should be able...
  4. HP Scitex FB550 Magenta Head wont fill

I might be mistaken but I think you are printing with LM and LC whether you want to/think you are or not. If the machine is setup for LM/LC then it's going to take those inks into account when building a color. We run white so we don't use LM/LC but that just means my color gamut is narrower...
  5. Realtor Signs - Grommet Placement

Just did one the other day, 16” center, 3/4 down on a 24” wide sign.
  6. Single Arm Sign post (real estate signage) source

We also make our own. We have a large customer who uses these exclusively and we used to make hundreds a year for them when houses actually went on the market to be sold lol. Since listing volume has been low the last few years we have just been using existing stock (we also install and remove...
  7. FB700/750 ink replacements

Hey all! I have been using Nazdar inks for my FB for a while. Last few months had multiple issues and in that process found that their inks are almost the same price as OEM at this point. Who is using an alternative that they like and haven't had any issues with? We have had issues with...
  8. Look for HP Tech, South Florida / Miami

I am on the hunt for an HP service tech in Miami / South Florida. I need to have a machine decommissioned and prepped for shipping on short notice. I have reached out to a bunch of places I found on the web but haven't heard back from anyone.
  9. HP Scitex FB550 Magenta Head wont fill

Same exact thing happened to me recently on my FB700 with yellow ink. Replaced a pump, filters twice, thermistor, and it started working when we changed ink manufacturers. Tech I talk to thinks it’s bad ink, not viscous enough. Ink manufacturer claims “it’s all within tolerance” after we went...
  10. Buyer Beware - Scammer Jim Church, Tritech USA

Damn dude, sorry to hear. On another note, how to do you like the Celero? I am obviously in the market for a used cutter haha. Our Colex is getting old and out of tolerance. I wanted to stay with Colex but they are hard to find these days, except ones as old as mine.
  11. Buyer Beware - Scammer Jim Church, Tritech USA

It is wild that he could fleece so many people. I sure hope companies like Cutworx don't have him selling or installing new equipment for them (his website and social media make it seem like they do).
  12. Buyer Beware - Scammer Jim Church, Tritech USA

Jim is an equipment tech, specializing in flatbed cutters. He breaks down, transports, services, installs and sells used cutters and printers. He used to work for one of the bigger industry names which is where I met him years ago. He went out on his own as Tritech USA a few years ago. We...
  13. Issues Cutting Foam Core

Interesting, we have some similar issues and ours is an older machine too. Did you buy the part from Colex? We took the covers off and the belt seems tight, gonna run in a bit with the covers off and see if it looks like the bearings are having any issues.
  14. Software Help HP UV Flatbed using Onyx 18

Are you putting an underfloor of white?
  15. Issues Cutting Foam Core

Thanks everyone for all your input! I’ll definitely check the tool/blade alignment. We always suggest PVC because like a few have mentioned, we hate foam board too haha.
