    Did you solve this? I have exact same issue, pretty sure while aligning new K/C print head I nudged the ribbon cable (Muppet LOL) After lots of searching think its the fuse for that printhead, have checked with voltmeter and confident one is not right, has continuity (just) but like 200M+ Ohms...

    My Custom Fuses for Roland Printers SP300v - Sp540v. How-to parts list.

    Nice idea, just blown a fuse realigning a new printhead - knocked one of the head ribbon cables (MUPPET LOL) - just ordered the parts exept 1.6a fast blow, rather replace a fuse than a printhead :-)
