  1. Full color graphics applied to Dry Erase Magnetic Glass Quartet Boards

Here are a couple of samples of what I mentioned in the last post. The advantage of the glass surface is that it cleans easily and always looks nice.
  2. Full color graphics applied to Dry Erase Magnetic Glass Quartet Boards

I made some custom white boards out of glass(clear) with graphics on the second surface. I made some for Costco that didn’t have to be too pretty and mounted the glass on plywood backers. They had lots of lines which were a pain when they were on the front side. I did a similar thing for a...
  3. For Sale Classic DVD instructional videos

Okay, I can tell this is junk. I guess if I used DVDs I would know these are not.

  6. usually I outsource CNC work, but considering buying a 40" x 40" are they easy to learn?

I bought my Shopbot off of Craigslist. I had some experience running a Multicam at another shop. It took me a while to find something local for under 10k and it took me a while to set up because I’m a one person outfit. I made my money back on my first job. I agree you should get the biggest...

  9. Exporting Graphtec files to Flexi and Printing

On second thought after reading some posts about Graphtec software try this. I use Graphtec Studio, which is basically the same thing, and it can't export either. I was googling a while back and found that you can install a PDF writing program and instead of cutting or saving your file, click...
  10. Exporting Graphtec files to Flexi and Printing

If your Graphtec Pro files are dxf file type just select the shape you want to fill with color, make sure solid fill is selected and wireframe is not selected. Sometimes with a shape I select automatic path direction to get it to fill. Sometimes I create a second shape and compound the shapes...
  11. Fletcher 3100s for Sale $800 obo

Fletcher 3100s with 5 cutting heads and extra blades. About 20 years old. Still works as good as it ever did. The cutting head has been a little floppy from day 1. I just dealt with it. Some slight pitting on rails but runs smooth when clean.
  12. Cutting ACM

A tiny hand plane works good for removing the burr on a straight edge.
  13. Year end purchase

Thanks for the comment Boudica. I'm thinking along those lines and was curious about trends. I wasn't looking for advice about whether or not to spend my money. I was hoping to get some idea of how other signmakers think about shop improvements. Maybe I should have given up a little more up...
  14. Year end purchase

Long time lurker here. Kind of shy. If you had $25,000 to spend on a piece of equipment for your shop, what would you buy and why?
