I changed my blade length and force level per your suggestion and i was able to perfectly cut through some scraps of cast vinyl with cast laminate! The scrap was a bit thinner than what I was trying to work with initially, but baby steps :)
Next time I get some scraps of thicker material I'll...
Good morning!
My HP flatbed and I are still getting to know each other and I am a bit perplexed about something. When I have a file in Illustrator set at exactly 48x96, then I rip it through Onyx (still at 48x96, no scaling), the file will arrive in my flatbed at 48.3" width. The printer then...
Yes I'm trying to set Condition 8 as my through cut. I've tried the perf cut setting in both the plotter itself (Cut Line Pattern) and in Cutting Master 4 but the blade wasn't cutting the backer at all, even at force 45. I'll have to see if Grimco equipment support can help. Just to get the job...
Thanks for responding! I have been trying to adjust the blade but never doubled up on my materials. That will definitely help me be more accurate with it.
Even for through cut it should only leave a slight mark on the backer? I currently have my blade length set to do regular half cuts, but...
Good morning!
I have been struggling with my Graphtec cutter on doing through cut/pop out stickers. I have looked at idk how many forums on here, youtube videos, and I've scoured the Graphtec manual for any sort of method I can use but haven't found anything that works for me. I've even...
Wouldn't it be so nice if the plotters were plug and play lol, would have saved me literal days of trying to figure this thing out. Ultimately I ended up using the Cutting Master v4 (5 doesn't work with my FC8000) plugin with illustrator to achieve a basic cut vinyl. Thanks for recommending that...
I downloaded Graphtec's program and it doesn't even work with my FC8000
Called Onyx and their suggestion was to go into the Interface menu and change the plotter's command language from HPGL to GPGL. That did work, and I can send files to the plotter now, but I still have no idea how...
Here is my Cutserver view
Cutter config
Plotter appears as a USB device so I assume there is some line of communication between plotter and computer
lmk if any other screenshots can help
My cutserver recognizes my plotter, it shows up in green on the Port Config popup. What do I need to fix for the connection?
In the general Onyx Go queue or in the cutserver queue? If I open a cut only file in Go it will try to print the file on my Epson and I don't need print. I'm just trying...
Hello everyone!
We're still in the process of setting up our shop from the ground up and, while I've worked in the industry for 3ish years (largely self-taught and nearly no professional training), I've never set up communications between machines before. I'm having some issues sending cut...
