  1. XC-540 discoloration issue

Exactly! I have those on order for black already; but I'll have to take some time to go through the printer and check each maintenance part as I'm a bit new to actually servicing inkjet plotters in depth. Thanks for your help and knowledge!
  2. XC-540 discoloration issue

Here it is. Even better than last time I ran it actually; and I'm aware that the black head or the system behind it is failing..... but that's only been giving me splatter and some light phasing on some prints. Would that be what's causing this wild color change too?
  3. XC-540 discoloration issue

Well I didn't think I'd be starting a new thread like this so soon. I've found that I need to do some maintenance (replacements) on parts related to or including the black printhead; but this is an entirely different issue: certain colors on my signs are being turned into an awful green/magenta...
  4. XC-540 "chatter"?

Didn't notice that spacing error! thank you, looks like I'll be into the seating anyways, so I'll make sure to pay attention to it!
  5. XC-540 "chatter"?

Thanks for such a concise and all-inclusive answer! I will do so and report my findings for the thread's sake (as soon as I've caught up with all these rush-jobs)
  6. XC-540 "chatter"?

Here are the prints I noticed the issue on, as well as the test prints I ran. I just ran a "powerful clean" on the machine before taking this. Could the buffer be the issue?
  7. XC-540 "chatter"?

I'm constantly changing this for different materials and checking whether or not it's in the right position, so unfortunately this isn't the oversight that is causing me trouble
  8. XC-540 "chatter"?

By Nozzel test do you mean calibration test print? that print is pretty great, as is Bi-directional calibration. All of the test prints I know to run pass muster, I just have this splatter on the black. I haven't changed any parts out. The printer has been here for years, I've only been working...
  9. XC-540 "chatter"?

Hello signs community! I'm having some trouble with a Roland Soljet Pro III Print&cut XC-540... A coworker described it to me as "chatter" where the black (only) extends from what should be a sharp box of black into small dots. it does this when other colors are within the black field as well...
