I'm a bit late on this one but as a quick, easy, temporary fix you can cover the sensor with a piece of vinyl. Just bare in mind that then the printer won't know when it runs out of media
How often are you printing? When you do your regular manual cleaning cycle make sure you take the cartridges out and give them a good shake too, I know it sounds simple but I genuinely believe this could be the cause of your issue
Have you checked your feed calibration? Do you eliminate static electricity? Have you ensured the print media is 100% clean prior to printing? Are you using OEM ink? Have you suffered any headstrikes or other issues? The nozzle test print looks good, might be worth reaching out to Roland to see...
Apologies - bit late to the party on this one but just encountered this issue.
I found that duplicating the .pdf in Versaworks for each page & then clipping the pages you don't want to print to as small as possible while using the page range function allowed the file to RIP.
Hope this helps...
It sounds like in the UK installation regulations are simpler (not sure if this is a good thing!).
There are generally no requirements to obtain a permit to work in a specific area (state / county etc.)
We have public liability insurance and produce site specific RAMS when requested, although...
Totally agree that the right way to do this is to create custom colour profiles.
Obviously this takes time, a bit of knowledge / skill and a colour measurement tool.
I presume you have calibrated the media you are using on the printer? On my SG3 on the display we create a media profile for...
Can't say much about Summa plotters having only used Graphtec plotters for the past 25+ years. 3 different plotters, 2 of which are still are still in operation - I think this says a lot!
I think either machine would serve your needs well, I'd recommend speaking to Edward Mathias for your...
If it was me I would do the following:
- create your cut path using the boundary tool for the outside and smart fill for the inside.
- Duplicate your cut path, increase the thickness of the outline to create a single colour bleed.
Then either:
- convert the bleed outline to an object and use...
Yes it did, unfortunately there are different types of ACM, some of which is fire rated & flame retardant and other that aren't. It's my belief that what was used on that particular block of flats wasn't flame retardant - terrible if I'm correct!
Looks great from what you can see in the photos! Looks like the viewing distance for this will be quite large so wouldn't worry about any slight imperfections that probably only you will ever notice.
Rather than say you will not do this again, when we get jobs that we know are a nightmare, we...
In the UK I would guess that the majority of external commercial and industrial signs are made out of ACM.
There are different grades of ACM, different skin thicknesses etc. I think from memory ACM was initially used in the construction industry as a cladding material for buildings?
As for...
I've never really used Flexi so can't comment much about switching but I think the majority of people either use Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw.
Having been a windows user since the early 90s, before illustrator was available for windows we have mainly used Corel Draw with Illustrator...
Yes I was referring to mounting the ink side of white cling to the glass, have just checked the technical data sheet for some white cling that we may have used in the past & that also says to leave an unprinted edge to the graphic.
Thought this may be useful info for anyone who doesn't use...
One thing to be aware of with static cling is that you should leave some unprinted white space around the edge of the decal as ink significantly reduces how well the cling adheres to glass etc.
