I have an old 6042 and that whole unit should just pop out. thumb on the front fingers on the back grip it, wiggle it, and it pops right out. Replace it with a new hose and unit. The gears on top, now that's another story

We had this issue 3 months after installation. (white head) Lucky for us it was still under warranty. It seems like a common problem with these as our tech confirmed, they should treat it like cars, since they cost as much as one. A factory recall issue and should extend past any warranty.

I run Mimaki 6042 new and old and we run on acrylic gloss black clear etc I have tried it all and have found that BOSTON INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS M87 primer and they sent a small bottle of M74F with it that works great. P2 is great (water to a battleship lol) GM-1 MIMAKI primer is a great wipe on print over. I put that shh on everything !

Have you looked into UV direct to film transfer sheets> AKA UV Gang sheets... I use mimaki 6042 hd (old) with LH 100 inks with clear I also have mimaki 6042 mk2 running 150 ink (flexable ) 120 would be best for you.. full color you can run hundreds in min depending on size its a sticker per say...

OK HERE is and WAS my problem 1st I have one of the OG 6042"s they wanted to replace everything and the head as usual. but I realized i might have got ink on my board more so where the FFC cable connects. I replaced the FFC cable removed and cleaned t my board with 97 Alcohol let it drip dry...
