Christine Chown started Pixy Graphix sign Co. in 2006 and renewed under Nifty Pixy Designs in 2012. She applies her combined experience of 38 years successfully consulting, designing, manufacturing, suppling stationery, signage, installing for her clientele.
She has always been fascinated with colours, art and just drawing in general. She majored in art through high school and taught some of the classes. Christine completed a Community College program majoring in Sign writing and Show card. During that time, she also worked at a retail store, responsible for designing, printing display signage and price cards. She has freelanced her graphic talents to hand letter vehicles and make signs when not working or attending school.
Chris then worked for various print companies and gained valuable experience introduced her to designing business stationery, signs, flyers, printing and typesetting of the final product.
The next 32 years Chris focused on supporting customers with their branding through applied products and services. She consulted with, designed and coordinated the signage for Toronto Molson Indy, Shoppers Drug Mart Stores across Ontario, Royal Bank, CIBC and Fed Ex. Major clients throughout these 38 years include Mackie Group, Shandex Trucking, Pepsi, Covanta Durham York Renewable Energy L.P., Durham dealerships, Real Estate and various Businesses throughout Durham and GTA.
Always working on continuing education to upgrade on her design by, taking and completing Illustrator CS6 course in 2013.
