  1. White Ink Adhesion

We do a fair amount of printing to the finished size. It does seem to help with the decreased amount of handling it has to go through. The fact that it doesn't have to be masked I'm sure helps a bit too. We actually haven't had any issues lately. We picked up a set of DYNE pens and this whole...
  2. White Ink Adhesion

That's where it gets maddening. I printed a job on 12mm Black PVC (stock not digitally rated). Adhesion failed. We turned the lamps down from 100% to 70% and it worked great. We just ordered some dyne pens. I'm really hoping this helps with the prep. If i know a sheet is going to be a problem...
  3. White Ink Adhesion

I guess that does make sense. That's how I usually do my Haptic print files. I never made the connection though. Most of my Haptic test prints are smaller in size due to the longer print times and copious amounts of white ink that has to be laid down first to gain the texture. I will definitely...
  4. White Ink Adhesion

We are going to do some tests with the AP3155. Also a good thought on manufacturing changes. That is something that I haven't actually considered yet. Thank you for the list as well. It will no doubt come in handy.
  5. White Ink Adhesion

We are looking into the dyne pens. I believe the dyne level of our inks are relatively similar. Unfortunately we only have the setup for CMYKW. We have a bottle of AP3155 and yeah it smells awful. We haven't used it since we purchased the VK300D. The High Adhesion inks were supposed to have...
  6. White Ink Adhesion

Well, that's where it gets infuriating. Initially my lamps were @100%. Had been for some time with little or no issues. We started have adhesion problems. I contacted Vanguard and they told me that my lamps were too high that the ink was curing before it had a chance to bond with the material...
  7. White Ink Adhesion

Hahaha. Yes it is dry when the printing starts. I actually just did that test friday and let it set over the weekend. I'll be checking in on it shortly.
  8. White Ink Adhesion

It is 100% adhesion. The color only peels off if there is white is laid down first. We have used adhesion promoter on ACM. Oddly enough on a piece that was already digitally rated. It failed.
  9. White Ink Adhesion

It seems so intermittent. We initially had our lamps @ 100. The issue as it was explained to me then, was that it was curing before it had a chance to bond with the material. We turned the lamps down to 70% and things seemed to work out better over all. Now we run into the same issue and I was...
  10. White Ink Adhesion

Here is some 1" Acrylic and 3mm Black ACM
  11. White Ink Adhesion

I run a VK300D-HS. 5-Head setup so only 1 channel of white. I use the Vanguard High Adhesion inks. The issue that I am running into is this: We print just color on a piece of white material. No adhesion issues. Doing the same print with a layer of white under it, fails 7/10 times. I clean...
  12. Vanguard VK300D Ink Chipping

Just started having this issue on black PVC when laying down white for a print. I was told that the ink that we are using is already high adhesion. Does that mean that it gets worse hahaha?
  13. FB700 Error code W-SS-5

I'm not sure that you can. I wanted to try but my boss wasn't having it. Issue is, the vac is hardwired to the printer and is a special purpose 220VAC plug. After speaking to a friend who is an HP tech, I found out that they're basically designed to only last about a year or so. Sorry I couldn't...
  14. Need Help FB700 - no yellow in beginning of print

In regards to no longer using HP ink. Who are you going through now? Just out of curiosity.
  15. Sun Data Supply

I recently discovered a place that sells UV ink for our FB700 for a considerable amount less than the supplier we have been using. However I am not sure as the the consistency of the pigmentation from batch to batch. Has anyone dealt with Sun Data Supply before for this particular purchase?
