  1. dark print with tooo much ink

"no color correction" will do that. Switch to "use linearization only". No idea what it means but that should help.
  2. Is it possible to adjust head height on vj628?

Just as title says, I know there is two white pieces with possibly a bolt going throught them, but those were so insanely tight they just stripped instantly. (correct snap on 6 point socket). I dont see that being possible, or how it could possibly do anything. So is there an actual way to do...
  3. Mutoh 1324 Nozzle check only print one of two black

you could try swapping the lines on the black and see if it changes.
  4. Mutoh 628 black ink fades as it prints

    scratch that, the hole is still bigger than the damper. I replaced orings in damper, no change. I can 90-98% good nozzle checks, and prints terrible. Then nozzle check is terrible. nozzle check - C = 100% Y = 100% M = 100% K = 80% long cleaning C = 15% Y = 0% M= 40% K = 15% I just dont...
  5. Mutoh 628 black ink fades as it prints

So I believe I see the issue. The end of the hoses from the carts is restricted from being too tight. But...I dont see those available for sale. I see the hoses, but it doesnt look like the nozzle is on them. Literally everything in the exploded view is labelled but those.
  6. Mutoh 628 black ink fades as it prints

On this machine it didnt come with brass nuts, everything was plastic. I upgraded the plastic to brass with orings. This was at the dampers, I have not seen them anywhere else
  7. Mutoh 628 black ink fades as it prints

The orings are in the cartridge correct? If so, yes...I tried 3 sets. I did not cut any off the damper hoses, mainly because how they are smaller at end and get bigger. where is the manifold? How would you crack it?
  8. Mutoh 628 black ink fades as it prints

Makes sense. So I found the issue for the most part. I tightened one nut of the tube the tiniest amount and it seems to have fixed that. Now at the exact time I fixed that, it stopped sucking ink at the cap top. You can hear the motor sounds different, so I replaced motor and pump, and lines...
  9. Mutoh 628 black ink fades as it prints

It pulls black in through it when i do cleaning or little charge. Would that eliminate the dampers?
  10. Mutoh 628 black ink fades as it prints

Once I thought about it, i ruled it out. So, I tried a new set of cartridges, and then a second new set of cartridges. Same issue, all 3. All colors currently fine, minus black
  11. Mutoh 628 black ink fades as it prints

Ah, cartridge seal...thats a great idea. Im not familiar with it, but I think you may be onto something.
  12. Mutoh 628 black ink fades as it prints

I put cleaning cartridges in, with ink cards. So they went through the paces with cleaner instead of ink. Yes, always better BEFORE a cleaning.
  13. Mutoh 628 black ink fades as it prints

So I have an issue with black ink, if it sits a few hours, it will nozzle check maybe 60%. If i do cleaning, it will nozzle check 10%. If I print test, it starts off gray lines and ends with lighter gray lines. Replaced printhead dampers pump pump lines cap top ribbon cable ran cleaner...
  14. my mutoh 1624 got a problem, no ink flow

    maybe ribbon cable
  15. Adjust pinch roller pressure

I found the issue, in case anyone else has this problem. I must have bumped the orange clip, and it unlocked it from the other rollers.
