  1. Job Completion Photos

Are you looking for transfer methods as in software or are you looking for people managing advice? I can inform on the latter because I am the person that does final photos and closeout manuals at my place of employment, but the former, I am not well versed on.
  2. epson s80600 1412 error code

I have a DCS 7200z, which is built out of an Epson 7900 In my error code book 1412: "Ink system error, Pump, Pump Life error; The number of pump counter has reached the specific upper limit. (pump motor's life (ink system unit's life)) Replace ink system unit and clear counter using the...
  3. Advice needed re nozzle dropout

I have a DCS 7200z and have had nozzle drop outs due to the following: My print head was seized, easy to tell when using a tube and syringe to try to prime through the capping station and got no ink flow. There were air bubbles in my ink lines, bubbles in my syringe when I primed through the...
  4. Anyone got one?

Its not really bad. If you have experience with paint sprayers its not that far off from cleaning those. Step 1: empty of laminate Step 2: run water through the machine Step 3: empty machine of water Step 4: remove filters, rinse filters, replace filters step 5: optional, repeat step 2-3...
  5. Anyone got one?

It is much better than the our old process: hand rolling. The Starlam is made by Maribu, I can coat 6 90 foot rolls of wall paper in an 8 hour day. Things I like: fairly simple set up, speed, self winding. Things I do not like or feel like could be better: Some of the clean up is a pain, I think...
  6. Anyone got one?

I have a starlam liquid laminator for wallpaper coating. Not sure if that's helpful, are you looking for reviews?
  7. DCS 7200z error 1439

On the capping station: I was informed in November of 2023 that Epson dropped their support of the DCS 7200z so DCS would no longer receive authentic parts for this printer as of MAY 2024. Especially authentic (Epson made) capping stations, they would need a new manufacturer by May of 2024. I...
  8. DCS 7200z error 1439

Hey dstt9901 I found out a lot of things. I could probably be a DCS tech myself now lol. Capping stations have about a 2 to 4 month life span, shorter if you run the machine a lot, longer if you're just doing a nozzle test and white block prints once a day. First I had a capping station go...
  9. Bid package nightmare

Very much the same kind of proposal my employer has to do for NPS and other gov entities. Like others have said, its a pain but once you have it, you copy and paste for other contracts that require similar documentation. A lot of the resume stuff gets copied from employees resumes, I was asked...
  10. No Pantone But Client Wants "Color Match" - what does your shop do?

When I was a finisher and did not have a defined color to match, I would be given a physical sample of the color and then spend hours or days mixing it to the closest match, then the graphics department would match it with a spectrophotometer. I loved color matching but its a lot of work. We...
  11. Installing acrylic letters

As everyone else has said, studs are the way to go. However, I did install 1/2 acrylic letters to cement walls about a year ago using VHB foam tape and clear silicone and they're still all up. They are very hard for anyone to reach though, so no one is able to pick at them/ try to steal them.
  12. White Ink issue

That could for sure be the issue. I had a DCS tech in in November and was informed that they themselves had to outsource the capping stations because Epson was not supporting them anymore and that officially they would need to find an after market maker of their capping stations and other parts...
  13. White Ink issue

Hi! Before you scroll away because this printer is known to be a headache by itself, I am simply looking for input from anyone who has had a similar issue on any printer with 10 ink channels! The issue: The last most right nozzle(s) of my printer refuses to print on its nozzle test unless I...
  14. Wayfinding signs with lots of small acrylic letters best production method to adhere?

I am kind of the designated letter installer at my shop, because no one really has the patients for it but me (read on to see why). In my ideal world, we'd apply a sheet of double sided adhesive to the acrylic and cut it all at once on the bed, which is what I think you're saying is your...
