  1. They're takin our JOBs!

I would have those machines in a sound proof room. That high pitched screeching noise would drive me absolutely crazy.
  2. Thankfully it's not ours...

There are a few in my town, pretty sure they were done by my former employer, that are leaning quite a bit. One blew over last week. We were asked to replace the sign cabinet on one last year and I didn't feel comfortable doing so unless we replaced the entire structure, foundation and all...
  3. here we have another crappy payer

Is it me or do some customers order 1 thing and then just when you're about to install it or finish it, they order more, then you finish that job and they order another thing. It's like they're trying to avoid the invoice at all costs.
  4. Suggestions What LEDs do you use and why?

We use Signlight LED Generation 2 bulbs for double sided cabs. No re-wiring anything. Haven't had a single issue yet.
  5. How do you pack extra large decals?

Important! We've rolled them decal/transfer tape facing in and always have either issues with the tape or laminate having wrinkling or lines that you cannot get out. I'd leave them flat or don't transfer tape (if you do) until you're ready to ship.
  6. Okay, I think I have a winner here..................................................................................

Currently working on but should be finished with school record boards in a local gymnasium. All the sports, 32 - 10 ft tall x 8 ft wide ACP panels in total. These are all recreations of older record boards but updated and nicer looking. The athletic coordinator sent me photos of the old...
  7. How to explain outsourcing?

I agree. My cousin owns an apparel shop in town and when customers ask if they can get business cards, shirts or hats I say "no, we don't offer this but our sister company does, I'll let them know you're stopping by or calling and I'll send them your logo." For things we outsource, like...
  8. Stock vector

We use a lot of the ones already mentioned but we also use and have a subscription to http://www.freepik.com/
  9. Need Help EstiMate - won't renew

I've been building my own using SmartSuite and I'm happy so far. I've looked into FileMaker as well and it seems a little more complicated and pricey.
  10. Need Help EstiMate - won't renew

I guess it's just my assumption that they may be shutting down. Like you mentioned, they haven't updated anything in years and this manually loading the new license issue seems to me Estimate will not exist at some point in the near future. Or maybe they are just short staffed and what they are...
  11. Need Help EstiMate - won't renew

This has been a common question here. I would do a search for the other threads for some of the other responses but in short, it seems as though they are shutting things down. I get a license file sent to me each month which I have to manually download to my desktop and the software "picks it...
  12. Customer requesting relief cuts in vinyl

Is that red strip just a decal or is this a full wrap. If it's just a strip, why not "feed" it into the recessed areas and back out instead of heating and stretching/pushing/forming it into them? If you decide to form it in and make a relief cut, don't cut too hard. I've seen several wrapped...
  13. VA Commercial wrap pricing

Florence, WI. :) Bordering the U.P. of Michigan!
  14. VA Commercial wrap pricing

Charge by the hour not the square foot. You also have help, so you need to add in for them. Installing a full wrap only with 2 or 3 people, I'd be around $1500 depending on the vehicle. Full Coverage color changes, bumpers, door handles and mirrors would increase that price.
