  1. Filemaker and/or SmartSheet Setup Help? Other estimating/management systems?

I'm exactly in the same boat and I've actually re-watched the videos and revitalized my interest recently, then started watching FM instruction videos and it's just way too far over my head. I've built a workflow/estimation setup in Smartsuite which is similar to smartsheet but from my...
  2. Reflective Pricing

The other thing to consider when pricing reflective is additional time to weed it. Probably a bit more wear and tear on your plotter blade and maybe even a double pass on cutting if you do that. Sometimes we do if the lettering is small.
  3. Cutting is off slightly

This seems to have fixed our issue. Thank you again!
  4. Cutting is off slightly

Thanks so much! I'll definitely try this. I'm not sure why I didn't notice or try this before. I had no idea!
  5. Cutting is off slightly

I can imagine the printer and laminator might "stretch" the printed section a bit but how the heck would you adjust for this? Should we use the Graphtec marks that have extra marks in the center? Would that correct this?
  6. Cutting is off slightly

We are generating them from FlexiSIgn (Effects/Contour Cut Mark) We then export to Versaworks and print there (profiles are much better here). When we're ready to cut, we remove the marks in flexi and let Flexi's production manager do the cutting process. So my guess is the generated marks are...
  7. Cutting is off slightly

Update....So I did a registration mark offset adjustment on just this print and we adjusted it so that the first cut was fairly accurate to the letter it was cutting. This letter is towards the front of the print (the sheet we're cutting is about 36" long) As it Gets further along towards the...
  8. Cutting is off slightly

Yes, we have issues with reflective from time to time but this also happens with regular material as well. For this one, I'll try some marks on regular material and see if this changes anything.
  9. Cutting is off slightly

Really good question because we recently started per cutting decals. I checked and it is over the cutting strip and in the proper holder.
  10. Cutting is off slightly

    Thanks! I will try this.
  11. Cutting is off slightly

Thanks in advance. We have a Graphtec FC 9000 and are using Versaworks for printing by adding marks in FlexiSign then contour cutting in FlexiSign. For some reason, just sometimes, our contour cut is off just slightly or 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. Enough for it to not be good enough. No matter...
  12. Kala Mistral vs Flexa Easy Lite

I agree with this 100%. Also a dealer that can help you set it up and run over some of the settings with you and get it dialed in. It would be a shame to invest in an expensive but amazing machine only to get what you were able to teach yourself out of it.
  13. Amazing Employees

One worker I have has been here the longest and although she knows he is an incredible worker, I think she'd feel like she got the "shaft" if she found out what he is making just because she's been here longer. This is why I really don't want any additional employees. I'd rather just bring on...
  14. Amazing Employees

I feel like what I pay him is what he should be getting paid and because he continues to work hard, grows knowledge and is a great team member, he has been getting a $1 raise each time his yearly review has come up and there have be quite a few $1 raises in between. I would probably adjust my...
  15. Amazing Employees

I've had this particular employee for about 3 years and I wish I had 2 more of him. He's almost perfect in every way possible. The other day, He and I were both installing a billboard wrap for a concrete floor finishing company and the ad on the billboard was advertising NOW HIRING. They were...
