  1. Grimco Buys GSG

Now Grimco/GSG are dumping brands. They don't carry France or Allanson anymore. Going to make things challenging here since the suppliers that still carry them are not local at all.
  2. custom wall calendars

    I've been using 4Over.
  3. What software are you using for Sigange Designing?

Started with CASmate. Biggest thing I remember from using that program was trying to come up with file names that were only 8 characters long but still descriptive enough to figure out what was what. Eventually ended up with Flexi for most of my work. Also use Photoshop for a fair bit of work...
  4. How's crime / theft in your areas these days?

We haven't had the building broken into, but the fence into the yard has been cut a few times. They don't get much of value, usually just random stuff that's laying around the yard. I keep waiting for the catalytic converters to get cut out of the vehicles in the yard.
  5. Boots on the ground marketing?

They get us service calls all the time too.
  6. Is this a polycarb sign face?

The only time I really hate leaving a face off is with neon just because it tends to be fragile. That's a pretty rare issue these days. I would turn the sign off. No reason to have the lighting turn on making it stick out like a sore thumb at night. I would consider using 2" wide trim cap for...
  7. Installation code of conduct agreement?

It was some Oracle thing called Textura.
  8. Installation code of conduct agreement?

This is something I need to do. The job seems simple until you find out about all the hoops you have to jump through to get paid. Last one required me to use some payment system that took about 3% out of the payment I received to use this system they required. I wish I'd known about that ahead...
  9. Week of morons

We had a customer do something similar and when we reminded him of the entire message he said we didn't make it clear enough.
  10. Week of morons

Sometimes it seems like people just read the first sentence of an email. Anymore if I have multiple questions I ask them one email at a time after each has been answered.
  11. reflective qr codes

It will work as long as there isn't light shining on it. This reminds me of a white truck we put black reflective graphics on. It was part of a magazine shoot and they were using flash photography because it was in the woods. The black reflective graphics disappeared in all of the pictures.
  12. another stupid story

I've never had anyone ask us to do the net10 discount but it used to be pretty common practice with our suppliers to us. I think 1 or 2 may still do it.
  13. What? In order for me to do some work for you, you want to have the option to audit my business expenses of the job!

I'm always surprised how many customers don't check out our facility, especially on bigger projects.
  14. Recent problems with Signs365

Last week we ordered some perf prints and I didn't get one of them. We did get someone else's oddly worded stickers. They sent out a replacement for the missing print.
  15. Rant Vector drawing,,,Have we gone back 40 years?

I had whatever version of Adobe Acrobat came with CS6. We recently decided to move to the Adobe Cloud software and that version of Acrobat is a huge step back from the version I had. I absolutely hate it.
