  1. i-cut Production Console Alternative for Kongsberg C64?

Hey all, We have a range of CNCs and software that we're slowly standardizing as we grow. The only software that consistently have issues with is i-cut Production Console for our C64. Does anyone know of any software we can run in its place? Optiscout would be my usual go-to here, but they...
  2. Opinion on Summa F1612 (or any F-Series)?

Summa's tech team is pretty fast working. I'm actually very impressed with their update rollouts. Probably the best quality of working with them. Our carriage board tool slot 2 went out for the second time since we purchased the machine and we couldn't ever identify why. Turns out, they learned...
  3. Opinion on Summa F1612 (or any F-Series)?

I'll have to go back through the settings. I sent out a wishlist to Summa about a year ago for features I'd love to see. Many of them got implemented in GoProduce. None of these are deal breakers, either. I still love the software - it's what I learned on. I'm just also a stickler for details...
  4. Opinion on Summa F1612 (or any F-Series)?

Oh hey I just learned multiquote. Neat! Let me start by saying Kongsberg makes very good machines overall. They're precise, relatively robust, and have some great features. It's their software I can't support. The way the machine operates and the way cuts are setup through iCut (at least how we...
  5. Opinion on Summa F1612 (or any F-Series)?

More or less the lack of control I have with the files. GoProduce v2 solves some of my issues (like exporting job files), but I often need to create shapes/lines for random tasks, and it's impossible to create a cutfile from the ground up in GoProduce like other software. As well, I don't feel...
  6. What bit should i use to cut corrugated plastic on cnc?

I still have yet to try a compression on 10mm. I'm getting us one soon to give it a whirl. We have better luck using drag knife for 4mm than anything else. We only use the router for 10mm. Just for my curiosity, why do you use the router on 4mm? Wondering if there's something I can learn here.
  7. Opinion on Summa F1612 (or any F-Series)?

Worked with Colex Sharpcut, Kongsberg C-series, and Summa F-series. I won't comment on the Kongsberg, but between Colex and Summa here's my feelings: Colex has the superior software from an operator position, Summa has the better machine. Colex comes with quirks and hiccups, sometimes we get...
  8. Colex and alumacorr

We use 4mm oflute upcut for direct print, downcut for overlay (or back cutting with upcut). We've found narrow bits give us the best compromise between speed and quality.
  9. Trying to mill halfway through 1 inch PVC on a Kongsberg

We're running a C64 if you have any questions on that, too. Happy to help.
  10. NEWBY QUESTION. Vac Table

We use sacrificial mats to protect the table. Colex t00177 (I think) if you wanna look at it. We get the T00177PRO and just trim to size for our smaller machine. Although currently I'm looking into getting the felt material on a roll.
  11. Suggestions Anyone with Colex tables...

Awesome! I have been searching for these. I've spoken to Colex about the motors all dying around the same time (we recently had basically the same thing happen) and I guess it's just..,. The nature of the beast. Haha For splicing, I recommend using push connectors in the future. Saves me a...
  12. What bit should i use to cut corrugated plastic on cnc?

We're currently using 6mm upcut/downcut (if overlay) for coroplast. We've put in an enormous amount of time R&D on this. If you're cutting straight edges, you can use a heavy duty single edge knife. Curves need an oscillating or router. Router you want between 18-20k, counter clockwise on...
