Use a rotary hammer drill (instead of a regular hammer drill). I currently use a Devalt 20v rotary hammer drill. It cuts through most brick and concrete like butter.

As far as the plug being pulled I doubt the heads suffered because, like others have stated, they were parked in the cleaning cartridge. However, leaving the machine powered down will cause problems. I made this mistake at the beginning of covid and had shut the machine down for about 3 weeks...

Tell us more about your strategy. What is your chip load setup? How many passes? Bit life and quality of cut depends on these things.

Unfortunately, this is a one off for the police chief's vehicle and it does not use that much vinyl. I considered it, but felt the markup was a bit high for one of my bread and butter clients.

In many cases, I can justify buying larger rolls. I have jobs that just cannot justify buying larger rolls that will sit...

Freepik has been promising, but there are not a lot of modern reg cab trucks there. I may have to modify one.

Maybe a bit of an outlier, but I use Gerber Omega. But, I also have Illustrator and Photoshop in my arsenal. I agree about Flexi and only use it's RIP software when printing. Ultimately, it will end up being the one that isn,t buggy and you get used to and can use quickly and intuitively.

You and I have lived a similar sign career. I am now 55. I was in bed with Gerber since 95 and still use their software to this day. I have Flexi for RIP, Illustrator to open certain files when sent to me from designers among other types of software. I find Gerber Omega to be an excellent vector...
