Has anyone tried to pull the gear off the top of carriage drive motor? I know the supplier says they don't come off, and you have to buy a new motor. just wondering if anyone has tried and/or had any luck.

they are a couple years old. seem okay though. even if it was a sealing issue the to ink pumps under the cartridges would still be pumping? or does it detect a leak and shut them down?

It is going though an IP address. I have ping'ed the ip address and response times are 1ms with 0% loss. i do notice with my roland which is through an ip address as well. When it prints, the job gets spooled to a print driver that shows up down beside my clock where as the fb500 doesn't.
