  1. Printer for Canvas Art

Also, don't get too caught up in the "12 inks are better than 6....", especially for canvas (not counting some of the newest fluorescent inks). I have a Canon ipf8400s and a Pro 4000 and have done NUMEROUS comparison test. No one customer has ever been able to tell the difference in color...
  2. Anybody used OMTech lasers?

I have an 80-watt OMTech (6 months). Ordered and came quick. Was relatively calibrated and took minor tweaking to get accurate. Have added upgraded air and vent and chiller. So far, no real issues. Have a friend with same model, 5 years old and heavily used with very few problems also. Most of...
  3. Sublimation Printers

We started with the Epson XP-15000 (converted), terrible. Ink capacities, if you use cartridges, super small. Clogs constantly. Tried a few brands of ink. Switched to the Ecotank ET16600 (only 13" in all of Central Florida on that weekend!) during a big job. Huge difference. Have not had to...
  4. USPS Craziness

Did same for my son (a Christmas present). Bought an album in Sept on Amazon coming from Japan. Never showed and THEY actually cancelled the order and refunded. Mid-March, it shows via USPS, but was never charged again for it.
  5. Best adhesive to attach polycarbonate sheets to PVC fence

Just use a piece of wood, rail...., on the inside to screw through your poly into, between the slats. Squeeze it like a vice. Same way you'd put temp board up in a window opening. Use the bottom rail to support.
  6. Need a new aqueous printer. Should I make the move from Epson to Canon?

Posted this in another thread a while back: I beta tested the first Epson (dye) printer in the US for Fuji/Hunt who was distributing. The 9000, later upgraded to 9500 (pigmented dye). Last I heard, it was still running in Tennessee. After that one, I purchased a 9600 and it lasted about 6 years...

  9. I'm an Epson printer field technician. AMA

I beta tested the first Epson (dye) printer in the US for Fuji who was distributing. The 9000, later upgraded to 9500 (pigmented dye). Last I heard, it was still running in Tennessee. After that one, I purchased a 9600 and it lasted about 6 years, 9800 4 years, 9890 1yr 2months til the heads...

  14. Vinyl cutter help

I was "gifted" a vinyl cutter. Came with Art Cut 2009 Software. The guy that gave it to me knew nothing about it. He had it for years and never used it. It's all white head to toe. 53" Anyone know what brand it may be? Software has hundreds of choices. Tried a few Roland and it says a file is...
  15. Credit Cards

We went with square a few years ago and couldn't be happier. The base is a little higher, but all cards are the same and still works out well below what normal processing companies charge. Before changing, I use to love hearing people complain that Amex charges more and won't accept it. In...
