Definitely a Summa. I print on a Roland and cut on the Summa and the accuracy is spot on. Using the drag knife cutter type too.

I too would suggest going to Roland direct. Digiprint used to be a good supplier (before it was sold). I bought a few DX4 heads from them (came from Belgium if I'm correct) and installed myself and still working.

Can't go wrong with Summa. Cut accuracy is spot on printing from a Roland.

Sounds like you've got air in your lines. I would personally draw ink from each damper untill you get the air our of the lines. Then draw the ink again from both captops (obviously with the heads parked in the capping stations), draw gently. Ink will flow through the heads removing any traces...

I'd replace the encoder strip then go through the required set up and crop mark adjustments, which the tech should do otherwise don't pay the bill.

I have taped around the printed squares using white vinyl, just small strips. The light still bounces off around the printed squares. This is enough to trick the camera.

I sometimes get this on my Roland on the first print of the day. Ended up creating a colour bar strip around 15mm squares for each cmyk colour and repeated this for the entire length of the media width. Will always will print this strip first on any media for the first print of the day.
