  • I understand and agree... You might want to offer to print to vinyl patch of green that closely matches the correct green they printed and mail it to them, so that they at least have a hard copy
    to match to.
Now that you mention it, I remember I had an issue with them years ago, & of all things the add on side walls of a tent didn't match the tent & while they did fix it, their reaction was similar to what you got... That's a tough call, that's a bridge I wouldn't want to burn, nobody comes close to their prices.

I don't want to burn any bridges at all - but I have a customer who ordered 6 flags and 2 tents - about a $4k order along with the banners we printed. My options are to take a "stab" at trying to adjust my file to "what my best guess" is to match their printer, or my customer is going to bounce the job because the flags match the banners, but the tents don't match either....?

I've been in the printing industry since 1994 - I've dealt with color and color matching all my career. I'm not asking them to "dead-nuts" match a pantone color in a book, I just need them to make a "forest green" not a "John Deere Green" and apparently they are unable to do so.

Hey Fat Cat, hopefully this isn't the same company you had issues with, but B2 signs is who I use.
They have great prices, turn around times and service.

This is EXACTLY who I am dealing with...have used them multiple times for other jobs, first time having a major issue and their response is to pound sand. I'm seriously thinking about calling my credit card company and starting a charge-back. It's absolutely ludicrous to have this type of attitude.
Hey FatCat, there is another alternative of course depending on your budget. and this one is Actually made in the US.

www.digitechusa.com a compatible model to what your looking at is the Trufire ST. take a look , if you like what you see send to me you phone and email and we can discuss further.
Please help me. I have a mutoh1924 machine. I installed a new damper and hood, but I fill and check the dampers and see that it is full of air bubbles.

Having issues trying to get a good nozzle check, but cyan is all crap. I just finished pulling the lines with syringes and the lines are not clogged but Noz check still bad on cyan. Have head resting on gauge with cleaner. Any ideas?

Take a look at your dampers - also make sure your drain lines are running and open. I think black and cyan run together in one tube and magenta/yellow in the other. Make sure you can see ink being pulled through both when running a cleaning cycle.
FatCat, I own a VJ 1204 and I am having problems getting ink through my lines. I just replaced my dampers and where I purchased from said I might have to pull ink through my lines with syringe. I still can’t get my ink through lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I had it running.. my black started giving me issues and I got advice from a company out of Atlanta to purchase new dampers. I replaced dampers and now I can’t get ink to pull through. I have ran multiple cleanings.. nothing! I was told that if the machine is not powered on when I am pulling ink then it will not come through. The closest repair is 6 hours away and quoted me around $3500 to fix. Your thoughts???

Patty, on a 1204 you should be able to leave the head parked on the capping station and attach your syringe to one of the drain lines - or both if you have a splitter. To my knowledge you shouldn't have to have the machine turned on with a 1204 - it has no subtanks like a 1604 or 1624 with electrical solenoids.

Also, if pulling from just 1 drain line you MUST pinch off the other drain line with a paper clip, etc.

What software do we run for what? Cutting? Printing? Design? CNC? etc? We have LOTS of software here, lol.

I just installed one of your car graphics on some PVC for my uncle Cork. Cool print!
I recently saw that you have experience cleaning drain lines on the mutoh. Can you go into any more detail on how to do that. My printer is currently down and I believe the drain lines to the waste tank are clogged with a thick tar like build up of ink.
I see where you posted (long time ago) about covering up the sensor so you do not get the media slant notification, where is the sensor located, thanks. Just replaced all my media rollers and getting warning after print.
Looked everywhere, including manual for instructions to prep our Mutoh 1204 for long term storage. Another post mentioned you'd know how to? Would love to hear your insight. Thanks.
HI New Here Does anyone know where I can get the Service Manual I'm having some real problems with my Jr - I'm getting Y errors like crazy and I have changed everything, Thanks Mike
I know you have answered this question before but i can't find where. What is the best way to create a cutpath in illustrator ?
    Thanks

Hey FatCat wondering what type of file works best when sending from Illustrator to Wasatch ? I use jpeg because the color match seems to be the best, but get jagged edges on text ?
    Thanks
    Bryan
Sounds like you have been running same equip. And software. I have just purchased mutoh 1304 value jet, fc8000 graphtec cutter, with fexi for the rip. I am considering going with wasatch what do you think?
