First off both screens must be identical, and yes you need to have a dual output video card. After you do this you can drag your mouse back and forth from both screen. Can you add a new video card to your pc?

honestly i don't remember it has been a couple years since i set it up. there was a reason that it was better for me just don't remember why.

i use Display Fusion to stretch the desktop wallpaper onto both screens, i got my wallpaper off of istockphoto.com i also made my 2 desktop icon to match the wallpaper so as to hide the icons, for the clean look. you can see them to the far right. http://www.binaryfortress.com/displayfusion/

ok so i have dvi outs and a hdmi adapter. will this give me the full potential of 1080p?
