a follow-up on this... tech told me that while there are two options for the positive pressure, the one one they use is the (check) 2nd option from the top. If the pressure is calibrated on the last menu option, the machine will eventually throw an error of not enough pressure while printing.

could those resistors be added to the flat cable? scratch the surface to expose the copper trace, and add it there. should be safer to do like that, no?

according to mimaki website, you can use up to two months after the expiry date. http://www.mimakieurope.com/faq/message-expiration-appears-2/ i've tested this personally and i can confirm it.

i always use white because i print on black plexi. it seems it's hard to keep these printers running well. i've done the correct maintenance, but those banding issues are really bothering me. will start the day tomorrow with some hard cleaning and nozzle wash to see if that solves the problem...
