  1. My Greatest Personal Accomplishment... LAUNCHED on Kickstarter Today!

Oh, I'm sorry, I guess I should have said "It'll be a breeze and it's not competitive at all". I was only responding to HIS comment about fearing the big guys and I was just relaying a story that I was told that shows his fear is well placed. I think it's a great Kickstarter project and as a...
  2. My Greatest Personal Accomplishment... LAUNCHED on Kickstarter Today!

I met a guy a couple months ago that invented a drink that was natural juice. He did very well with it (it's still available today). He was telling me that that industry is nasty and he hated every minute of being in that industry. He said that you have to buy shelf space in grocery stores. He...
  3. Laser engraving on Glass in the Northeast

Nor will it ever. Two totally different things. The laser creates tiny fractures to simulate the look of sandblasting. Glass is a strange animal. It does things you won't believe until toy experience it. I had some engraving of text to do a couple of years ago. The glass pieces cost like $45...
  4. Seeking source for these fabricated stainless letters

+1 for Steel Art. Incredible quality. I always love getting jobs that require using them. We don't see them as often as we'd like to.
  5. Laser engraving on Glass in the Northeast

We use a photo resist. You print the image on a piece of film, put the photo resist film over the image, expose it to UV light for about 2 minutes and you've got the mask. Apply the mask, blast it (you have the right stuff, but I don't know what grit you have), and you're all set. You can do...
  6. Laser engraving on Glass in the Northeast

Sandblasting 4 oz glasses would be a breeze with the sandblaster.
  7. Thoughts on my logo? Thoughts on the name?

I don't care how you type, I just wish you'd actually read the posts people make and apply accordingly rather than accusing people of things they didn't say and then acting like they have a problem when they reply to things you made up.
  8. Laser engraving on Glass in the Northeast

You'd be better off with sandblasted not laser, unless your mind is made up. The laser micro fractures the glass, it doesn't penetrate it, and the sandblasting will penetrate and give a much better look than lasering. If it were a couple, I'd probably laser them, with 60, I'd make the masks and...
  9. Thoughts on my logo? Thoughts on the name?

If that's the level of English and writing skills you get from Penn State, I'd be asking for a refund. I think OP just reads what he wants in whatever anyone says and then goes off like they actually said what he wanted them to have said. OP, here's a test for you. Show me in this thread where...
  10. Thoughts on my logo? Thoughts on the name?

First of all, I didn't say a single word about your business card. You might have been at this longer than me, but apparently I spent more time in English class learning the word "Comprehension". I didn't say your card was good, bad, indifferent, or anything about it. What you're doing is...
  11. Thoughts on my logo? Thoughts on the name?

You do realize that's the exact same argument people give to you when you tell them their layout is bad, right?
  12. Thoughts on my logo? Thoughts on the name?

That's the one! Not what I thought it looked like from memory.
  13. Thoughts on my logo? Thoughts on the name?

I seem to remember a tv show that used that same type logo. It was something along the fear factor lines, maybe? I know it wasn't Fear Factor, but it was in that era. Anyone remember it? It just seems to really look familiar but I can't recall the tv show.
  14. Thoughts on my logo? Thoughts on the name?

Those would just be quirks I that would make me love her for her funny ways :loveya:
  15. Thoughts on my logo? Thoughts on the name?

Good point! A friend of mine has a dog that's got blue heeler in it and it looks exactly like the outline, floppy ears and all. When I googled Blue Heeler, they look like they have pointy ears, so I'm guessing it's a mix to get the floppy ears.
  16. Thoughts on my logo? Thoughts on the name?

The dog in the graphic is the outline of a Blue Healer, a type of dog.
  17. My new website

Just a FYI, when I navigate to other pages, it messes up your orange and water...
  18. Best place to contact to lease printers out of

I had a conversation with a leasing guy one time about leasing some equipment we were looking to purchase. I said "What's the interest rate?" and he said "Well......leases don't work like that, it's not like that at all, we don't change an interest rate" and then he talked for 4 more minutes and...
  19. New laser cutter cuts HDU into signs

Here's a piece I did a couple of years ago on granite. Know that granite is either black or white, where marble will show shades of gray. The photo in this video is blown out some (too much white), but it was a customer's wife who passed away and when I toned her skin down to make it look less...
  20. New laser cutter cuts HDU into signs

You don't need it. I laser for a living, so to speak, and we used it and sold it years ago. It was brutal to get right and you can get the same results with some steps in Photoshop, if you have that. If you have Photopaint, I think you can do the same thing. There's a guy named Rodney Gold from...
