Things printing different means you need different profiles if you need to hit exact colors from other peoples files you have 2 choices first and best one is to build your own profiles and you should print really well or 2 make a chart like your asking about print it out tell them to use it or...
Your problem may have been damper's.
I had my black channels drop out the other day and I installed new dampers still missing black swapped heads filled ink and was good for a minute then 1 black channel dropped out after changing damper's again black was back and printed many feet with no...
Try Oracals laminate 290 or 290F (290F is optically clear) I know a company that uses IJ180 and 290F and they do alot of wraps (they told me they like the Oracal lam and since its optically clear they dont have to change the laminator out) the cost is about the same as 3M regular lam.
I have...
Most likely dampners I know you said you changed them but I just had the same problem with my black channels on a JV33 and I had to change the dampners 2 times so 6 dampners total before problem was fixed.
If you are not using OEM dampners then you may have gotten some that are not seating or...
I had my Black drop out like yours the other day I replaced the dampners and got some of it back then it went away again.
Long story short I replaced the dampners on both black channels 2 times before the problem went away was very stressful.
If you are not using OEM dampners you may have...
Yah the yellow tool is expensive but I love the one I have the metal parts that are up against the adhesive are teflon coated so it wont stick.
The one signwarhouse has is nice also and half the price but I like the yellow tool better because of the teflon coating.
Your site looks fine but I would put more pictures and less wording.
Most people are visual so pics grab attention and keep it you need enough wording to tell them what it is but dont go industry deep or you just confuse them.
You need 1 page with a good amount of wording and pics for each...
Well since your new to wraps I would say wrap over them and then see if you can get them to set.
If it looks bad or you cant get them to stay then trim them out.
If you have to reprint and reinstall the wrap so what.
This will help you get some practice and to find out what you can do and...
Well closer is better sometimes you just cant match it exactlly.
Did you try doing it in LAB and making the image a raster?
I have found that RGB will give you a bigger color gamut and also reproduce colors more closely (but not always).
Good luck
Learned something neww yesterday thought I would post it here for you.
When designing especially in different color space than what your document is. Example RGB document and using color tool and inputting cmyk numbers that the numbers change the reason for this is a few things one the profile...
What rfulford said.
use color picker select your output profile(the one your rip will use) and get sample of the color.
When you sample in color picker it will show you the LAB and the cmyk numbers.
When it comes to printing there are no real standards for CMYK but there are standards for...
What rip are you running?
I have a JV33 and with rasterlink pro 5 it prints great I have flexi 8.6 and when I print solid blues I get streeking almost like its starving for ink.
I built my own profile for it in Flexi and it deos the same thing streeks but print the same file in rasterlink...
As Jhilldesigns last post said.
Save the artwork with a set profile and embedd that profile when you save it and set up all your computers to use the embedded profile.
This should help you out.
I noticed when you use pantone colors in RGB mode that the numbers shift but if you use LAB all...
Yah thanks for the tip.
I love My JV33!
Now if I could just figure out how to get perfectlly matched colors from every print. LOL I would be a super printer.
