I Agree Trim it at the chaulk line. Use your sguegee at a 45 deg angle and keep your knife up against it on the outside of you sqguee and you will roll smooth with the chaulk and have a nice tight cut. I wouldnt even think about cleaning out the chaulk to much time
I ran a Agfa Flatbed a couple years ago at a shop I was at. We had a similar issue with Banding in the black......they ended up changing the head on it. If its a glossy band and matte band then I would think its in the lamps.
Big Rigs Exhaust come out the top and go sraight up, that why you dont see the soot. im assumming the trailer your talking about is pulled by a dullie.
Customer should try cleaning their trucks on a more regular basis.
I had a racecar painted "rattle can flat black" couldnt get vinyl yo stick to it.
that chaulkboard paint may be hard to stick too.....think about a alum trailer were its got that chaulky feeling to it.....clean the crap out if it
I use Phase Two Sign Supply in NC for Specialty Films, they have great prices.
Racers love the Florescent Colors. I know its 6 mo outdoor, but a racecar is only outside once a week.....and most short track racing is at night!

Here is a pic of the differnce. The NV Series has a nice nautural brown hue. Flat glass tint is way diffrent then car film, they typically arnt black hues unless the customer wants that
