    i'd be careful with acid washing either way... can you get them a sample before covering the truck, or multiple trucks?? i think after a few acid baths, even a frog juice liquid lam would wash off??

    i wouldn't talk you out of it either... i have an Edge and Envision... use them both prety much daily and LOVE THEM!! had the edge for years and it's solid, no issues (knock on wood) same with the envision!!! i think it's cheaper/easier when printing 1color on regular vinyl, and the white print...

    welcome from WI. unless you will be running this printer nonstop, consider the SP540. only one print head, and it's a little slower... but we've had ours over a year now and i couldn't be happier. I wish it was running all day long, but since it's not, the little slower speed is NOT an issue...

    Seriously. we have an old Brother Machine. we set the stitch length to max, we get over a 1/8"+ between stitches. use heavy duty needles and HD thread... we only sew 15oz and less materials. it gets a little tricky when sewing in Nylon webbing, but it handles it. gotta go slow. i did mention...

    we sew the small ones (4x10 and under) inhouse, with a standard sewing machine, using HD nylon or poly thread. anything bigger than that, we take to a local upholstery shop that has a big-ass machine and uses some thick nylon thread.

  19. printing two sided banners-need help

    i turn the vacuum power on STRONG for the 2nd side, and haven't had many issues at all.. just make sure the graphic orientation is correct, or you'll have an upside down banner! oops.

    ^ agreed. banner isnt much more, there are lots of cheap cheap banner materials out there that will hold up and look just fine for what you're doing. probably hold up better than a poster, and cost the same or less than even a decent-good paper.
