  1. Buy me a plotter

Hmm, it may be okay, hard to say w/o having first-hand exp. with any of that...btw, what the heck is SignBlazer 6? I'm assuming some off-brand design program? I'd really recommend Corel X3 or Adobe Illustrator and a decent cutter plug-in program (I like Corel & CoCut Pro). Still, ya gotta...
  2. Buy me a plotter

Although I cannot personally recommend these, I've actually heard some fair things about these. Still, smart money goes to one of the Big 3... http://uscutterdirect.com/category/us_cutter.vinyl_cutters/
  3. Flurescent colored Squeegies

The current design employed is quite adequate, but the mat'l is maybe more important. The Gold squeegees are nylon reinforced...replicate this along with some bright colors and you've got a winner! I'd like to have some high quality ones in a vivid color or two. The other ones that I like...
  4. Two companies in town use this one

Yup, Sofachrome from Larabie isn't it?
  5. One More Laminator Post And I'm Done!

I have a DingTec that I got from PCP. Works pretty good, but I wish it had a powered liner take up reel. I've considered buying a 2nd unit to have one for mounting and one for laminating.
  6. Can you print Grey?

My greys come out pretty good. This is not so much the machine, but more likely the Media Profiles used, and more importantly is the overall Color Management you personally use in your own shop.
  7. Looking for...a better Substrate cutter

As it is right now, I need something that will NOT make a huge mess, as that is what I'm dealing with right now when doing it "by hand" with a circular saw and straight-edge. But I still want something for the "soft stuff" like coro, gator and the like.
  8. Combing Color Layer Elements - X3

You should probably WELD all like colors, rather than combining them. Sometimes these will produce different results, with the WELD usually being better for cutting.
  9. Extreme Makeover Design Contest

    LOL! Good one!
  10. Extreme Makeover Design Contest

DAAAAAAMMMMMNN, that is one FINE piece of work!
  11. Looking for...a better Substrate cutter

So it sounds like the Milwaukee would be a decent choice for a panel saw? Can you get a blade attachment like for the SawTrax and Safety Speed saws? The FSC will cut dibond and alumalite, but not MDO (which I don't use much of anyway).
  12. Looking for...a better Substrate cutter

I think those are pretty much the same as the Fletcher FSC, but might actually be a little more expensive.
  13. Looking for...a better Substrate cutter

No kiddin huh?! The SawTrax looks to be a very good unit, but I'm no expert on them by any stretch. Looks like they've made some significant changes recently, but you think it's still a poorly executed product? I am still interested in the Fletcher FSC, and these are all about the same $$$...
  14. Print Halting ! ! !

Crap, I think it's the MOON...I had this happen on a file last week, but using Wasatch! Finally had to rebuild the file a coupla times to get it to print right.
  15. NEW! VersaCAMM VP-300 and VP-540

Yup, like some said, it has 4 heads as opposed to 2 like the SPs do. I also saw in the Specs that the pre-heater only goes up to 112...the SPs go up to 122...curious if that is correct. The higher the heat you can get away with, the better the inks will bind to the vinyl.
  16. Looking for...a better Substrate cutter

I just found this, maybe a partial solution for substantially less. http://www.eurekazone.org/index.html
  17. Looking for...a better Substrate cutter

Oops, forget to even say what all I wanted it for. Primarily looking to cut Dibond, Alumalite, Coroplast, Gatorboard, etc. I guess MDO if it can (like a panel saw), but I don't use much MDO at all as I try and use Dibond or Alumalite when possible.
  18. Looking for...a better Substrate cutter

I'm wanting to get something more efficient than a Skilsaw or Tablesaw, so I'm considering either a Panel Saw (like a Saw Trax) or a cutter like a Fletcher FSC. However, I'm not liking the cost of about $2500 for either one set up to my liking. Is there a more inexpensive alternative? I want...
  19. Help with CutContour

Sounds like you're using an outline converted to curves...is that right? What you need is a single path, usually best generated by using the Interactive Contour tool, which has an hairline outline assiged as the CutContour (with a Spot Color). BTW, you should really consider upgrading to...
  20. Extreme Makeover Design Contest

When I saw this thread, I knew I had a really good candidate for this. I've been eyeing this thing for a while now...I took this picture just over 2 years ago...just waiting to get a chance to redo it.
