    Most of my last 6 or so monitors have been Dell's. Their 22's and 24's. They have a nice 30" similar to the Apple as well. Calibration is VERY helpful on any monitor.

    hehe... I assume you have ARMS on your Graphtec? If so... just line up w/ the bottom right mark, save it as a new orientation, and tell Flexi to send the cut job :) I'm out of town right now, or I'd go into more specific detail.

    I would like to create my own profiles.... equipment costs are keeping me from doing it right now. Would be nice to find a few local (few hundred miles?) members to go in and buy the setup and share it for making our own profiles. Easier to cost justify that way. Anyone semi-near Dallas...

  13. What media have you found works well?

    I'm curious what most of the Mutoh VJ owners have found really works and produces well as far as the various media. I know 3M IJ180 is great for wraps, and 8518/8519 for overlaminate. What about banner/scrim material, photo paper, perforated window vinyl, low tack, etc? Thanks!

    The RIP software really has no knowledge of the hardware being RAID, it's all handled by the hardware. As for RAID 0 being "dangerous"... you are correct. I don't store work on the system, it stays on the file server. The RAID on this box is for much faster RIP'ing and swap space only.

    Well, I'm stilling waiting on the arrival of my Mutoh, but the other equipment has arrived... and I figured I should build a nice new machine too :thumb: My main workstation right now uses a nice Asus motherboard, and the Intel e6600 CPU w/ 2gb RAM. I use 2 Dell 22" LCD's dual monitor as well...

    I've used Permacast before, but in a hot room, it does seem to start lifting a bit after about 3-4 years.
