  1. Installing a 4x6ft wood sign

You're not ruffling my feathers, I have and use plenty of cordless tools. Gino brought up corded tools and I agreed with him. As far as the 6AH and larger, they're bulky and heavy. Not something that I want to be lugging around plus they are expensive. I also prefer a keyed chuck when I have...
  2. Installing a 4x6ft wood sign

Got a bunch of Milwaukee, a bunch of makitas, 3 rigids, Ryobi. I didn't just start working yesterday. I missed the part where this was an exclusive signs only conversation, sorry. FWIW, I put decals on the trailer too.

  11. How do you advertise / promote your business to get more business?

Melissa data has business lists that you can drill down to whatever you want to target. When we ran mailings, we narrowed by county, sic code and number of employees. Cleaned up the list and sent it to overnightprints for the mailing.
  12. Upselling quotes (good/better/best)

They find out on jobsites when they show up for permit inspections. In the city here all contractors have to have their name and license numbers on their vehicles. The inspectors can cite you for it but it doesn't seem to be strictly enforced. We get most of our work now from word of mouth...
  13. Installing a 4x6ft wood sign

Let's be honest. There's a right way to dig a trench and if you're gonna make a career out of it, you can't start throwing dirt and risk wrenching your back. So I give these guys an A+
  14. Upselling quotes (good/better/best)

I make more money in the middle. Cheap and high dollar always seem to bite me but at least the cheap ones go faster.
