  1. S80600 or?

Our typical go-to poster paper is Sihl 8mil Poster paper with a satin finish. Occasionally 6mil. The profile we use (Onyx) is "3686 Paper white 228" 360@720x720 - 8 pass High Quality. Compared to our Roland XR-640 - the Epson is super fast - and quiet. I suppose you could dumb it down and it...
  2. S80600 or?

I can tackle the first question... if you spool up your prints, you don't really need that much room. I love our Epson S80600. Sometimes when printing posters with a lot of ink coverage, I won't spool them, but let them kinda spool out onto the floor - in this situation you would need more room.

  11. Need Help Corel X4 can no longer make an .eps file that Roland Versaworks will accept.

You can pull in a PDF, as long as it has the cut path set to the spot color, just like an EPS. To expand the canvas, Open in illy or corel or whatever and simply resize the art board.
  12. Printing on frosting....

  13. Need Help Corel X4 can no longer make an .eps file that Roland Versaworks will accept.

Yep, it's true. I've run into that a few times. Even with a brand new computer, windows 11, and VW 6. Just need to expand the canvas size in the art file.
  14. Thinking about adding a Wacom (or similar)

I used a wacom tablet in my past life, lots of photo editing. Once I got the hang of it, I loved it. Then after a few years, for one reason or another... It left my "toolbox" at that job, and I learned to live without it. I guess I'm fairly adaptable. It's great for editing work, but overall...
  15. Question about "Brand Guidelines"

print the artwork the customer sent.
  16. banners all types

Random thought to add.... many people who ask us for a banner - are not aware of the mesh material. They only ask, when they know they have a concern for wind resistance... and they ask about slits in the banner - which we do NOT do, or recommend. It just compromises the life and strength of the...

  20. Printing on frosting....

assuming you are referring to frosted or dusted vinyl (and not the sweet confection on a cupcake)... there are dusted vinyl's you can print on directly with eco solvent printers. We used to use Mac Tac, but currently we use GF Print-N-Privacy, 3 mil light glass etch polymeric vinyl.
