Must be a tangential model with the lateral setting off. Offset is only for drag models.

Laser and flame polishing leaves tension in some material. Be sure you can live with that. Make the test by cleaning the lasered edges with alcohol for example.

Do you have a MyRoland account? Your dealer should have registered you and your product there. If not, tell him to do it ASAP. There you can find out about warranty extensions.(Roland Care plans) If you went past a warranty timeline because of your dealer not registering you, talk to Roland...

You need to replace the heater board. A SSR doesn't switch off anymore.

You don't need to go into service mode to backup the parameters. Just start it up and do a backup from cutter control. If not possible, write to summa. They should have the file somewhere. (These cutter can be over 20 years old...)

I had to replace hundreds of DX4 heads because of a 100% compatible ink, where the ink manufacturer (from the USA) gave a warranty on the heads. Not one was paid for... Since then, we sell only OEM.

First things first. A SP-540i is a CMYK printer. LC/LM/ and especially LK would help a lot, but not possible on this 4 channel printer. If your head alignment is off, you get grainy halftones, no matter the settings. A quick check is a 100/100/100/100 hairline (0.05mm) square 30x30mm or so...

Your problem is highly likely the cyan head, that needs replacement. The TR2 cyan seems to clog the head sometimes. Get it fixed during warranty.
