Does this font look familiar to anyone?

There is a font called Omni that is a near duplicate of Optima but with flat bottoms, tops and ends of vertical strokes too.

My guess would be Americana Bold

I think that only happens when trying to save/export eps files from programs outside of Illustrator. Gradients in eps/ai/pdf files are retained all the way back to v8 files. The only time I have seen Illustrator change a gradient to dozens/hundreds of the thin lines you speak of is when saving...

It looks like some form of Goudy Bold

Does anyone recognize this font? I had no luck with findmyfont. If not I will have to trace the letters
