  2. Gandinnovations 1224 or Fujifilm Acuity Advance

I love reading all these misstatements! Unless you are running on a daily basis or are the owner of either or the machines in question (eg the guy that signs the checks) why even bother comment? Clearly Chicago, KR3, Won, eazyEd and I are running the Jetis, and it sure seems to me that we're...

  5. Starting Monday off right ... HP9000 question

welcome to my world! Seriously, the DJ9000 is a solid machine, despite it's quirks. What pass mode are you running in? Are you watching the spit stripe as it is laid down to monitor which color is dropping out, if any? If no dropout it may be a temperature issue...... have you adjusted...
  6. How big is your shop sq.ft ceiling ht etc?

whatever you do make it bigger than you think need if you have plans to grow. Even if you overbuild and leave part unfinished or better yet lease out part to cover your nut. Down the line when you need the space, you will have it. When I bought this place 8 years ago I drooled over the space...
  7. Automated flatbed cutters for banner, foamcore, etc?

a basic CNC router works just fine for me. I have not found a thing I cant print and then cut. Still, 2 guys, 2 stanley's and a straight edge can be way faster with some materials.
  8. Display Maker 72uvr... good segway printer?

My 72 UVR has run every day since it was installed. Sure, we don't run boards through it any more, but it's still an awesome banner and fabric machine. It does VERY well on coro, PVC, foamcore, gator and dibond and acrylic. And just about any roll stock. If you want or expect it to print...
  9. acuity fuji having dripping issues

Could be other things as well, such as static ink temperatures- may need adjustment, especially if your environmental room temp has changed not sure how the vacuum sys works on that machine, may need a vacuum pressure adjustment, or some combo of vacuum and temp to compensate for seasonal...

  14. Canon Imagerunner 3100/3170 scan to email

Anyone here have a canon imagerunner 3100 series.....and actually get the scan to email function to work properly? Tech says you need to run your own in house server, which, if the machine has SMTP capability, does not make sense at all. Oddly enough the machine actually receives email...

clean the encoder strip as well?!
  16. New member. Hope you check us out. :)

If you buy supplies at distributor pricing in one "company" you get to use it in the other, and since you're paying less for raw goods, charge less and therefore be competitive on price in the other company that's consuming the supplies.. Trouble is, it does not take long for manufacturers to...

  18. Roland Dryer?!?

Isn't it just a rebranded black body dryer? This is what we have with our HP, works great!, I think it was around $600? http://www.bbcind.com/digitaldryers.aspx
  19. Direct to Garment on Flatbed

it works, on our Gandi printer. It has a vacuum table - we made a platen out of scrap coroplast. I would not use it for a client, but for in house stuff, event promos for friends and family, and goofing around, it does work. Holds up well in the wash, too.
