  1. Coroplast and bubbles

I use 1224 on coro, never ever a bubble! Before that the colorspan, but before that we made thousands of coros with wet app, yes yes, you're not supposed to, but never a failure or bubble and its way fast. Have you tried the big squeegee on coros? Or, even better find a good reliable wholesaler...

  5. Designjet 9000 Error 1180

Hi Gang! Well, I've searched the threads with no avail, so I'm gonna post. Our HP designjet 9000 is stuck in a perpetual 1180 error. It's not the occasional 1180 that we're all accustomed to, it happens every time the capping station moves, even at startup, and then, errors, you restart, then...
  6. Flatbed Printers

I'll second that, start up and shut down is easy as can be, and averages less than 5 mins at night and less than 10 in the AM
  7. Who carries 48" lexedge material

Check laird plastics, they have a branch in MA. Ask for Vivak sheet polycarbonate, they have an .020 satin surface, 50 x 100 sheets, just like lexedge
  8. Solivent or UV for a Flatbed?

Jeti all the way baby. yes, it's like putting a house in your shop, well worth it though!!! And air hockey as a free bonus.....
  9. Speckly areas of single colour.

was this machine new or used? if used you may need to increase your head voltages, for which you'll need service menu access. As heads age they need more voltage to push the ink through. upping ink limits accomplishes a similar result, but as prev. noted will upset your profile and output.

  15. Mimaki JF-1631

If you have any volume at all, the Gandinnovations machine is the way to go. I'm not sure about the Mimaki as far as machine durability, but if you are going to print all day, you're gonna use a ton of those silly cartridges. Mike's right, the Gandi machines are the real deal, real industrial...
  16. Small Shops - How many active jobs do you have and what is your lead time?

Turnaround times- small stuff like banners and job sites, 1-3 days. Vehicles usually can be in and out in a week, although for the past few weeks it's been longer since our installer left, new one starting tomorrow. Big stuff like fabrication, dimensional, gold leaf, anywhere from 3 weeks to 6...
  17. Newbie Needs Some help with Onyx

Share some more info for more help- the machine and OS you are running an the printer you intend to print to - you may get more responses. First, you have to install the HASP drivers. Go to onyx and get the most recent hasp driver, as your old CDs probably don't have them. Make sure you have XP...
  18. arizona 180 manual

good luck you'll need it. I would suggest a call to nazdar. If you use thir ink they'll have a tech come in an get you going, usually very low cost. Don;t expect squat from Oce, they consider it end of life.
  19. 36" coroplast sign

I could play print em direct in about 2.5 minutes? Seriously, if you are unsure of your application abilities, put it on wet and squeegee it out with a window squeegee. Set it aside to dry and you're done. Before the flatbeds we made a ton of coros this way, and my "new guys" liked doing them...
  20. shop build-out for router... seeking experienced feedback

Doug I would be very concerned about that compressor and 20HP vac pump in that small space. Thats 26HP of motors that will pretty much run constantly, in a small space (insulated) in a hot climate that will generate a lot of heat. The exhaust air from the pump is very warm, too. I would rethink...
