  1. What CNC Do You have?

have a gerber Sabre 408 for 8 years and love it, a friend has 2 multicams and loves his machines. I don't cut much aluminum, which my friend does, so I can say that the multicam mister with the pump is a better setup than the gerber system, to which we modified and added a pump to make it easier...
  2. Repair advice/help

and please, don't use a $10 harbor freight digital meter to test your $50k machine. I did it once, and misdiagnosed, and spent $1200 on parts, unnecessarily. Get a good fluke, you'll get more precise AND accurate data to make a better informed diagnosis.

  5. Boatwraps,seal With Edge Tape?

There's a difference of opinion on this subject, as far as material selection and edge sealing goes. Personally, I would only use a non-air release vinyl on a boat wrap. Why, those tiny air channels provide a pathway for high speed high pressure water to enter under, and cause failure of, the...
  6. Best flatbed under $100k Used

you know, thanks to this board I've passed on the 9840 as our upgrade path. It's sad, because our colorspan 72uvr has been very good to us. I guess they just could not get the scaling right from the 72 to the 98. There are 98 users out there with no issues, but the ones with issues have major...

  8. Crashing!!

have you ripped a lot of files? is your available disk space less than 1gb? If so, start trashing! Most rips need 10 gb available for a scratch disk for rendering and data transfer to the printer. The disk space issue has caused printer crashes for us across three devices and three separate...

  11. USB parallel interface adapter cable for MAC

My dog keys (no kidding) chewed my $200 usb PIA cable, right after she joined our family. I was so steamed!!! After some thought....I cut out the damaged section, stripped back the outer cable sheath, stripped each individual conductor, and soldered them back together with a cheapie $5 radio...
  12. Experience Routing Gatorboard?

The tape works great! 18. Noise around print

have you tried going back to the pc instead of the laptop? Looks like an ink on media issue not a head issue.
