im using Nutec NUBis system. get it from Kover and am happy with price and performance

worth a try maybe u can remove the cable that feeds the screen. Clean it with isopropyl and reassemble. Let me know if it works.. also try switchin printer on without network cable attached. waitin to hear feedback.

encoder dirty? try cleaning the encoder strip. only use alcohol/Isopropyl. the fact that its printing all over might be a result of not being able to read its location from the strip. worth a try. As for the graniness, maybe cleaning head cables would cure issue. Sometimes static also...

1614 conversion As chris suggested. I have done this before and had no issues with the change-over. When we got tired we converted back to solvent with no issues again. i suggest you go for the conversion.

dye sub printing I would suggest the mutoh 1638w a very good printer though their inks are not the best. As for inks Sensient for their easy loading and colour intensity.

best flatbed in my opinion Agfa titan 3.2mtr widest range of substrates their inks are damn good and our machine runs 24/7 with no problems.. Also has roll to roll as add-on. price is a bit hectic though...
