We were using denatured alcohol to clean it before being advised by a new tech that we should only use 70% iso. The problem was there before we began using the iso and nothing has improved or worsened since.

We rarely use Superfine, usually just Fine & Wave 1 or 2 but the problem is there with all the wave settings. Just tried the syringe trick in the drainage pipe (going to the pump) with 70% isopropyl and it came out relatively clean so there don't seem to be any clogs.

So I had a tech come out to find out why the black was binding so badly. We did a thorough cleaning and replaced pump, wiper, and cap. Still lines in the black. Im not sure why, maybe an attempt to help, but he "turned off" the A nozzle on the black. He said this should help, but it will print...

Soaked the head 3 times for about 15/20 mins each time but the test print doesn't look much different. Any other idea's?

Thanks for the info, We will soak them today and update on nozzle check.

Nozzle check I know the tech turned off the A nozzle on the black which accounts for the blank spot, but looks as if the B is also spotty, Magenta doesn't look so hot either. Could this be the problem, I've seen the nozzle check worse than this and didn't streak like this...

We've had the mutoh VJ 1304 for about 2 years now, problem free until recently. We started to get some vertical streaking on prints. A local mutoh dealer tech came out took the head apart, completely cleaned, replaced wiper, and cap for the black ink. He said he couldn't figure out why...
