I got to test stuff out last night according to what wit-color asked me to do and looks like it's the printhead board. I will let you know how it goes about them replacing it..

I hate that too but on a positive side I guess get to learn more about this machine by having these issues :) ... yea it should deff fly when both heads print.

The slider board you mean the printhead board? .. if yes then that's what it seems like might be...

I know this has been asked and want to clarify.
There are 7 cartiges in the back. 1 black and 2 for each other color.
the black ink splits into 2 and goes to both heads....the color cartiges go each to one head....
that's why there are 7 .... there is no cartige for the cleaning...
Thanks for this info :) ..... it seems like the inks on the back are pretty much at the same level with the head which in that case based on your explanation the dampers that are on there now should be ok ..... either way since the DX5 style dampers ith valves won't hurt sounds like a good...

Yes the head ribbons are equal in size for each head so I should be able to do fast swap on the head board.... if that doesn't work then I will pull head # 2 out and check the ribbon connection....take it out and put it back in...... then test again...

The printer comes with 1 year warranty supposely...... however I did contact wit-color with questions regarding testing and setup so far and they've responded back within 24 hours and they tried to help me......so I'm happy with their customer service so far....

Hi,
There are 2 head wipers (blue in color) one for each head in there.... I adjusted their height and they wipe the head good.... I check with a flash light the head when I moved the carriage all the way to the left..
Regarding the dampers.... yes they're not alligned but I've seen the vids...

I know several people here are interested in this so here is the info I have so far regarding the printer I got and where I'm at with it at the moment:
The model I got is the ultra 9000 1602s (1.6meter ot also maximum with that media would fit in is 61.5" ) dual dx5 printhead...

Hi guys and sorry for the delay I've been soo busy with all kinds of things...
Anyways I got the printer last night. The crate pretty much fell apart and the contents were exposed.... The plywood the crate was built was 1/8 inch thick...no wonder.... but luckly there didn't seem to be any...

whats a good bulk ink for the dx5 heads? I was looking into triangle JVV or BVJ series and my local supplier has it for about $155.00 / litter is that a good price you think?
what about Triangle JVS ink and the DX5 print...
