Thank you for the info. This in turn leads me into another question which I perceive you have answered also. Is it still feasible to use the ANA plotter? I'm gathering by your post that I can acquire corel as the designing software and in addition to CoCut as a driver for the plotter?
Is it possible to import a full color raster pdf image into the program and the create a contour line around the outside dimensions to save it as a vector file?
Hope I worded that correctly....
Thank you. I love the little small town atmosphere. I moved here lil over 2 years ago from an even smaller town in southwest TN. My elementary school sweetheart, now my amazing wife, along with better school systems lured me here. GLad I came and hope to run a prospering sign business here...
This is spot on what I need done Bob... More or less my question is/was my DA program capable of doing so? And if so any pointers as to how? As I have stated, I received no training or support with the equipment. It has been all hands on/trail and error... More often then not errors were more in...

Thank you for that. That's pretty much what I do now.. i.e. print, trace, scan, repeat until i get each of the desired effects. Just seems there would be an easier/faster way to get it done. Being as this particular job requires 4/0 printing/shading this is not an "in-house" option. Thank you...
Ok guys/gals, I'm opening the door for all your ridicule and sharp as a blade comments with this one....I am fairly new to the business so please keep that in mind. I'm trying to learn the knowledge so that someday I might be as knowledgeable as the "SIGN GODS" that answer questions here. When I...

I am interested in upgrading my current DesignArt Pro 3.5 for my Anagraph AE-60E plotter. I cut my teeth in the sign industry with this software and was "self-taught" as when I purchased the plotter it was suppose to come with 6 months tech support and training as I bought it new from Anagraph...
thank you for your valued input. when i bought the system in june of 98 it was suppose to come with 6 months worth of tech support and training. to much dismay i received none of this as ana went out of business and i had to self teach myself thru trial and error. i have learned the basics over...
i agree if no watermark/copyright mark its free range on duplication. as far as you doing the layout and then them having it done somewhere else, i have dealt with this many many times over. i found a solution and it seems to hold well with my clients. require a 50% (of the overall amount)...
Sorry if this seems to be an uneducated question, but i have always had the philosophy no question is a dumb question. with that being said... i have adobe photoshop 7.0. i use an anagraph ae-60e plotter with design art pro. are you saying it is possible to create an image in illustrator...
I run a ana ae-60 plotter. I to have recently run into this problem. in years passed i have used the "sidewinder" blades and the same rule applied for them being interchangable. i made "sidewinder" aware of the problem and they are in the process of finding me a solution...
