you can get some of the profiles from HP still but you have to go through HP euro to get them they no longer carry them in the US for the 8000s do not lose heart these 8000s are almost bullet proof as long as you keep up on the daily cleaning they will keep chugging along
we print on painting canvas with normal gesso , flag material from fellers, self adhesive cloth wallpaper, cotton duck for custom bags with our 8000s. if it is stiff or thick enough to maintain it shape we will run it through and so far everything is working fine been doing it for 3 years so far
when we use the solvent clear iron-on transfer material on our 8000s we also place the blue painters tape over the eyes it fakes out the printer by blocking out the light.
yes you are going to need a ripper for it we use a dj8000s in our shop and run it on onyx 10 in a XP box
