Thanks for the info, I will do the adjustments tomorrow morning. Cheers from Nova Scotia.
  2. Need Help Roland XC-540 black overspray

SOLVED, it was the pump, not pumping. As for the line, only guessing it pooled by the metal ridge in the capping station, and carried it to the print. Found out only after a new head purchase! Ouch!! Now I am getting a double hit on black!! Test print is near perfect, I know the old girl can do...
  3. Need Help Roland XC-540 black overspray

My otherwise reliable XC-540 started printing a line on the black test print (see attached). I thought it was a worn out head, I replaced it with a new DX-4 from Roland dealer. New head did not change the strange line in the test print, any experience, or opinion, with this type of issue?
  4. Source for DX-4 print heads

I bit the bullet and bought from Roland dealer. Changing print heads did nothing! I can not print clean black print or images, looks like massive overspray! My black test print has a dark line down the top side.
  5. Source for DX-4 print heads

Looking in North America only. Just bought one on Amazon, total rip off, used dirty print head in dirty torn packaging, from China. F&%K i hate scammers. The sad part, is that Amazon allows Chinese vendors to change company names, and accounts, like socks. I have bought dozens of items from...

  12. xc 540 0004 error

After shutting down for a day, to get a cartridge, my xc540 throws this 0004 code. My local tech, said to shut off main power, drop the cap station, move the print head to the middle of the platen, and turn on. This worked only once, unplugged for a storm, same code. It's called a Sub CPU SRAM...

  14. Does this dang silvering really go away?

I know it's an old post, I have a Ledco digital 60. A 1/4 hp beast. Still silvers. I need to dust off the manual, and start those heat shoes. It will do thermal melt lam as well.
  15. Feed moves while detecting crop marks

It must be parallax, or some viewing angle issue. When I rotate the laminated print, slightly in the CW direction, the issue goes away. I was told by a Roland tech, to use tape, and marks to re-register after lamination. Now I know why he said that, our eyes are playing tricks on us. Other than...
  16. That annoying motor roll while reading cropmarks

Thank you all for the input, I may have found the solution. Since the sensor is reading the material as out of square in the CCW direction as viewed from above, I purposely skewed the print slightly in the CW direction. Works like it should now. Please share your results! Pull the right crop...
  17. Feed moves while detecting crop marks

Doing it again, in the opposite direction, could the sensor be loose?
  18. Feed moves while detecting crop marks

I have an XC540 roland PC machine. When cutting a laminated sheet with crop marks, the first crop mark is detected, then as the sensor is moving to detect the left mark, it feeds away from me a few mm every 2 seconds or so. By the time the sensor is at the second mark, it's nearly under the...

Good day, I'm new to the forum. Thanks for the input in advance. I am looking hard at the Roland TrueVIS 54" printer. Does it have any real competition? Has anyone been running one? regards, 68Bonnie
