I just had a a similar issue with my FX and it was the cable assembly that moves with the lid when you lift and lower it. It was worn out and causing electrical shorts.
We have an Edge 2 and FX machine and I thought about selling the Edge 2 but glad I didn't because just recently I had to send one to the shop but I had the other as backup. Something to think about.
I currently have a Roland VP-540v and a Gerber Edge 2 and Edge FX. Due to the limitations and costs to run the gerbers and the age of the Roland I am looking at a printer that will replace both of these units with one. They all are working fine but it would be nice to trade up maybe. We do a...
Thanks for the help everyone. I am hoping to get a tech in soon to look at it but that is proving to be difficult. I suspect it might be a wiring problem but have no way of testing it. Hopefully the tech can do it.
Can you send the wiring diagram if you can?
Hi,
I hope somebody can provide some help with this problem. I have an old Dimension 200 router and the Z Axis isn't working properly. It doesn't seem to have the power to lift the head and router anymore. Originally I thought it was the motor gone but I got a new one from the supplier and...
So what I am hearing is that even if it takes the printer 1 hr to print something or 2-3 hrs or more you still only charge for that square foot or inch of material! Not sure if I agree with that. So your very expensive printer is sometimes printing for free???? Am I missing something???
Just wondering how everybody does pricing on a machine like a large format printer. I am just getting into large format printing and trying to price out jobs. I currently calculate out my material and ink usage, add my markup, then approximate time for printing and general labour and use my...
I am getting a quote ready for a customer where they want reflective vinyl printed with numbers on them and then laid down on a substrate. My question is which is better for longevity when they will be located on docks near saltwater. I think 3mm ACP such as dibond should be fine but maybe I...
I am thinking about getting one of these just for quick easy jobs but I have a 54" printer. Don't they make larger ones? This size seems a bit weird. Also, where do you suggest to buy one of these or which vendor so I don't get screwed? I am in Canada.
Hi Gino,
Thanks for the info. This type of install is new to me. I have mounted these type of signs to posts before with no issue. So a bolt or screw in each corner is not enough to hold this size sign?
Hi,
Just wondering what everyone recommends on how to attach a sign to a fairly flat granite rock? Sign is 6mm thick ACM and is 2 ft x 3 ft. Does construction adhesive work or would I need to drill in mounting studs? Let me know what you think.
We used to use that for a customer and only have less than a yard left but try Abrasion Guard GCF-114. Is isn't quite as matte as the other one but not too bad.
I was wondering how accurate you find that system? It seems to me to have to many variables on measuring. If the rolls are more tightly packed that would change your numbers or if when you measure the diameters if you squeeze it to hard it would mess up your results.
Have you ever tried...
I don't know anything about 5S but how is it even possible to have every minute planned throughout the day? What about problems as you go, bathroom breaks, chit chat etc. It seems to me this would make the work place more stressful because if you don't follow minute by minute then you are in...
