I suppose it could work but it might gunk up those rollers. You just may have to clean them. Also are you just planning on doing sheets as I don't think you would be able to use the take-up reel.
Give it a shot and report back
I'm not sure it will work. My understanding is the part you are printing on is the "glue". Traditionally these are done on flat bed UV printers. These newer roll to roll UV DTF printers don't seem to have the individual pinch rollers. If you look closely at the video in the OP, it has nip...
I agree with the above. We have Epsons s80600 and they are awesome and print quality is amazing. We are looking to add another Epson S60600.
Epson is running a deal right now for their print cut edition bundle. You get the s60600 and the Graphtec FC9000-140 for $16k+ add ink as they do not...
Hmm good idea. I think if you have a table saw with a sled, you could do something similar with rollers and only need to blade to stick out enough to reach the core
This is usually accomplished on a special machine that does back slitting (semi split). One such machine is the Rollem Champion. There are others as well.
You can still use 7 but try the previous version number release. That's what I meant by previous version.
Looks like the most current version of Rasterlink 7 is 3.0.0. if you are using that version, try to step down to 2.9.0
Or vice versa if you are on 2.9.0 right now, try 3.0.0
I never used Rasterlink 7. Always used Rasterlink 6plus. However sometimes when they did their software updates, it would break multi-layer printing so I had to revert to a previous version. I would never update after I found a version that worked because of the issues Mimaki had with...
You should be able to print 5 layers all in one pass. You shouldn't have to retract. The only time you need to retract is if you are printing both white and clear.
Also when cutting your can use all the pinch rollers instead of just the outside 2.
I no longer have this printer and trying to...
We used to have the UCJV. In rasterlink, there is an option to print red under the registration marks. If I remember correctly, it's called "Fill around register marks". It's in the Crop Marks section
Ink shouldn't be bleeding since it is a UV printer and it cures instantly. If your white...
I had the same issue. I was coming from a Mimaki and using flexi. The S80600L came with Onyx so we decided to use Onyx so we didn't have to pay Flexi subscription.
99% of our work is decals/stickers perf cut and within 2 days I went back to Flexi because of the cut order of Onyx. Hated...
We had this issue when we got the Epson s80600 earlier this year. It turned out to be dust particles. We never noticed it before the s80 because we used UV printers and I guess the ink is so thick it would just cover any dust.
What we do now before we start a print is use one of those sticky...

Just got the S80600L about a month ago. We are ready to create profiles for our media. We have an i1 Pro2 device and we use Flexi 22. When we create the profile, should we only select CMYK (8bit) instead of CMYKLcLmLkRor (8bit) for the Color Mode and let the the Epson Driver do its thing...
I'm using Flexi and when I go into Production Manager and look at the cut file from there, it is adding like 1 extra row. So lets say the original print file has 4 complete rows, the PM cut file has 3 complete row, a 4th row that is 1 image short and a 5th row that has only 1 image. I'm not...
I'm having this issue too and I don't know what the issue is. Some will read fine and then others just wont. I'm trying to cut a roll and keep getting this error on barcode and even when I try to do a manual read to cut. I've flipped the media around and can't get it to read. What fixed this...
You can ask but the 2 USB dongles (license and software install) are packaged inside the boxes of the Epson S80600L.
Here is a pic. You can see its epson specific. I believe when I installed I only saw the Epson S40/60/80 as the only printers you could install. Maybe a few others as I can't...
