I have done a few of these outside. If you do outside make sure it is not too hot and hopefully have a shaded area. If it is too hot the vinyl stretches and your panels will not line up. There should be information from the manufacturer about the proper temperature range for application.

That's why I recommend the Silicone. Some of our vendors require it.

Doesn't need to be fancy/expensive, most foam DBT works especially if you add a dab of 100% silicon.

Given my experience with the UV clear coater machine my shop bought. Good luck finding something. Plus it is only going to be scratch resistant if your ink sticks well to the ACM. Personally I would use a sheet laminate. If you have a UV printer with a clear, that may work.

Send back the cutter and buy one that is compatible. If the vendor gives you grief remind them that there are plenty of others who will sell you what you need.

IN my experience an "off brand" printer is not a good idea when you got to service it. Seen lots of horror stories about people's printers going down and them having to stop production for weeks because of service issues.

What is the purpose of putting vinyl on the acrylic back? Is it clear acrylic?
