Just a quick suggestion, try creating the job without the print part, just the cutlines. I found sometimes that something in the print side effected the ripping of the cut.
I have had issues in the past with cutting certain laminates like a matt lam sometimes give it an issue reading. the fix for me is to switch over to manual and align the registration by eye. not great for small labels, but does the job for large.
Does it cut vinyl without using the printed marks?
I'm in a similar situation. A small business that is entirely dependent on myself and my wife to run. if i wanted to retire, how do i box up the skills and knowledge that are the core of a business? luckily i have a few years to modify what i do into something salable, but I'm unsure what kind...
i too have done a deliberately wrong first proof to give the customer something to change, then i can begin the real design. Each customer is different, but the way they think is roughly the same.
