I did manage to cut a small section off the bottom bit of ribbon cable and peel back the plastic cover 6mm or so to reveal new contacts for the ribbon cable screen didn’t come back to life but pressing here and their momentarily brings the screen back on.

Thanks for your reply I did clean the the ribbon cables with a little isopropyl but unfortunately it’s removed the silver contacts which I fear has made the situation worse, not sure if this is something that could be fixed or not ?
