Hi there,
Over the last few weeks ive been unable to get a nice cut on my VS-540. Im perf cutting laminated vinyl stickers and using a new 60 degree blade. The problem is mainly happening on curved cuts like circles although squares are not perfect either. Ive never got an excellent cut on this...
Thanks for all your replies i appreciate it. When the Roland service was carried out just before i acquired the machine afew months ago i can see the head, 2 x dampers, felt wiper and cap top were all replaced. This probably wasnt the white damper as the previous owner didnt run white. No pumps...
No not using white material haha. I want to print white base coats on transparent before going back over with colour (fancy stickers). I had it working perfect the first day.
Test print is great regarding the colours but 0% for white.
Yeah i do gently shake the white every day and have setup a white test print file ready aswell just cant get it to the nozzles. I only just put the white in 4 days ago for the first time.
The ink is actually getting through the lines and to the top of the print head but not to the actual...
Thanks for your replys. I dont believe the pump has been changed, does the white line have its own dedicated pump?
When i pull the white pipe off above the head it does drip white ink steadily, perhaps theres a blockage from here to the head below?
Is changing the pump a job i can do? Im very...
Hi, I wondered if anyone had any tips on how to get the white ink to the head and stay at the head?
I recently added white to my machine and finally after many powerful wash's and ink circulations and then pulling through with a syringe it finally made it to the head and after a while started...
Hey,
Im having troubles finding a good option for both white and clear vinyl for my perf cut stickers in the UK.
Ive tried both M series from Grafityp and ImagePerfect from Spandex but both have printed backing paper which i cant have amongst other problems.
I will be laminating both white...
Thanks for your advice. When i print other things rasta and vector and select high quality it prints very solid, it think its just the test print that prints standard quality and so its grainy. Been playing around with quality settings and getting really good results, especially yellow...
I’ve run a Clean and it’s sorted The head and cap etc are all new and i know the basics but obviously not much haha. Surprised it needed a clean already. thanks
Hi, Ive only been using my VS540 for a week and my colours are starting to lack quality. The 2 test prints below have exactly the same settings in versaworks and illustrator but you can clearly see stripes in the green tones.
What could be causing this?
The pump worked great!
Almost to good as all colours came flying through and started pissing through the pump onto the floor, wife was well impressed haha
Test print looks good to me, what do you guys think?
I see, so would (hopefully) the syringe will pull all ink colours all the way to the head through just one of these lines? and i carry on until these 2 lines have ink in?
Also is that the pump the lines go into on the pic?
Thanks guys
Amazing!
Just ordered a pump from Amazon UK.
"I would attach a syringe to one of the lines after the cap top and clamp off the other"??
Might be a silly question but do i pull the pipe off here and connect the pump?
Thanks Netsol. I took these pics today showing the head and captop is indeed new. I get no ink on my finger touching the black head surround.
What's confusing though is this shows the system was drained and then the new parts fitted so no test print was done. The work was carried out on 20th...
